1. Gloria's Deli, Commercial Bay Ground Floor/7 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open daily 9:30am to 3pm. Tuna Melt $16.50, fresh foccacia sandwich (vegan) $18, cookie $6
2. Rhu, 235 Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland 1052. Open Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 3pm. French Omelette $21, charred avocado toast $20, Honey toast, vanilla yoghurt, fig $21, fried chicken sandwich $24, berry tart $6.50

Oh my! The breakfast place is amazing, I really want to eat the honey toast and figs and the fruit cup as well. Wish I could fly to New Zealand right away!!!! Also I enjoy watching your daughter’s facial expressions. I think she wants a bite too!!!

Everything looked so good, but what nearly drowned me was that basket of fried chicken. OMG, so crunchy, and the slow shot of the honey mustard dripping off it has me drooling beyond control. I’ve never seen you say anything bad or even neutral about the food you eat in your videos? Is the premise of your channel that you only make videos of food you already know you like?

Thanks for watching. Yes this is a positive place. We research heavily before filming. On the odd occasion something isn’t up to standard we’ll stop filming, finish our meal and then never post. We’re often eating at small (and often family ran) businesses and we’d rather just not post than drag them through the mud. In saying that there are more neutral moments here and there but we prefer to zip over them and focus on the positive and the joy of the great food we’re eating. Thanks again. Thomas

I wondered why, over the past year or two, when I’ve seen cookies for sale in Auckland, they have looked burnt. Now I understand, it’s intentional - they are making them into biscuits!
