The guy is a business genius. He clearly went on the show for publicity but he also wore a bright yellow bow tie to make him stick out and to make viewers keep thinking about him and his company. Subtle psychological tricks like that can help a company sky rocket

Peter is an absolute master at working people. I get that this is highly edited, but you can tell he takes it seriously and is always thinking ahead about his next move. I.e. Giving the parking ticket back is to make sure he has the last 'touch' with Dan, last opportunity to look him in the eye and ultimately its a move that doesn't actually close off the opportunity to discuss in the future.

Peter was clearly intimidated by the entrepreneur's presence and knowledge of the tech industry, he was stumbling over his words and trying to make himself sound good but it just sounded weak. I love how Peter was sweating, trying to sell himself and Nick to him, for a shot at a higher share. Between Dan already having a road to market, industry investors, magicking up multiple tech products he is already manufacturing and selling to bat away concerns he already considered, using Google Maps' API with potential for integration (which they both knew each other wanted) or even a 500 million-1 billion+ buyout from Google... I don't think Peter felt threatened, I believe he felt out of his depth. There is nothing Peter could've offered him. Manufacturing, tick. Further investment, tick. Online presence, tick. Software and app development, tick. Design and marketing, tick. His only real bargaining chip was the possibility of getting in front of Google execs or any other major company, but it was only a matter of time. Lo and behold, a 7.6 million partnership with Hyundai, and a business valued near £100,000,000 with Dan still being the majority shareholder.

This entrepreneur is smart, there is no way in hell I would give up 20% of a company for the dragons money. Maybe 10% or 11% max would be fine, but 20% is outrageous.

This guy was very clued in and gave off an energy of somebody who will succeed. The dragons got greedy and sometimes i wonder why they are so stubborn on their valuations. They could have offered him 10%, dropping to 5% after 3 years. They would have got their money back probably inside 2 years and then have a substancial, largely passive income from then on.
