Awesome video! How were you able to get a calibrate profile for the MM-100s? I’m thinking about getting them but don’t see a profile for them in sound ID :(

Today I compared the MM100 to the MM500 and I disagree with your opinion. Firstly I am not a fan of using any form of pre EQ feeding these phones to match speakers. They are both best listened to with no form of EQ present at all. It's interesting how we hear things differently. I feel the MM100 has the smiley face sound. The MM500's are way better by far at 4 times the cost. The low and high end extension is amazing (on both) but the mid range detail and presence on the MM500 is far superior to the MM100. You can hear every aspect of the mid range with the MM500. They are very close to the LCD-5 actually which cost a huge amount. Please, if you are thinking about either of these, go into a shop and listen to your best reference tracks and make up your own mind.

The MM 100 are on backorder for the longest time ever!. I own the Focal Clear MG and they sound great. I am tempted to buy the MM 100 just to have an idea of how the planar Magnetic technology sounds like.

I find it fascinating how apparently nobody is noticing/mentioning the insanely pronounced "seashell resonance" on these...

I have the MM-100 and LCX X, the MM-100 EQ very well and I find my self reaching for the MM-100 more often the the LCD X, because you can EQ them to 95% of the LCD X and they lighter / more Comfortable on your head then the LCD X

One question... When I'm listening to a song on KZfaq, how do I identify if that song is an audio file without loss of quality or if it's an audio file with loss of quality? Where can I see the specifications of the audio being played to know if it is, for example: a “WAVE” or “FLAC” format (without loss of quality) or if it is an “MP3” type file (where there was compression and loss Of Quality)? Is there any extension for the Chrome browser that shows real-time specifications of the audio being played? I visited KZfaq's audio file guidelines and it says the following... “[...] Supported file formats: (1) MP3 audio in MP3/WAV container, (2) PCM audio in WAV container, (3 ) AAC audio in MOV container and (4) FLAC audio. Minimum audio bitrate for lossy formats: 64 kbps. Minimum audible duration: 33 seconds, excluding silence and background noise. Maximum duration: none “[...]”. Therefore, KZfaq accepts audio files without loss of quality and audio files with loss of quality.

Hello, I just want to use one earphone and don't want to be tired of switching devices all the time depending on the type of music. I listen to 80% classical and 20% jazz and pop. I I think I like mm500 very much, and I think the instrument part is quite good, and the vocals are in the front, so the female voice sounds good. Do you recommend other headphones at this level? I think the Sound Stage of the mm500 is ok. For classical music, the instrument is not too modified and artificial, the low-frequency dive is enough for jazz.
