In this video I show how I go about fixing an issue with the electric power window not working on a 2003 Audi A4 B6.

Very helpful. My A4 is 2006 with 4 switches so slightly different set up and had to also remove arm rest from rear (T20 torques). Brass contacts also different, tiny rockers. Once contacts cleaned worked a treat!

In order to find if the switch is faulty. Get a paper clip straightened out. Then bend it in half. Then use it to probe the electrical contacts in the plug that goes up to the electric window switch. ( this is trial and error by the way ) I’ve generally found that helps. Sometimes the windows work. And sometimes they don’t. As I’ve already said. ( this is trial and error. Also a dealer has said if you hold the drivers window switch down for 15seconds then up for 15 seconds that resets the electric window circuits.

Hi Iofix !!! ... First place i'd jump to is the wiring harness between the door and the body of the car ??? ... Sometimes if you squeeze the harness the window will move a fraction ??? ... If not ??? ... Maybe if you "probe" (+) on a main feed wire to the switch pack and they start working you could just "fly a wire" and bi-pass the broken bit ???? ... I've yet to watch your video in full but hope this helps anyway. MANY THANKS

@@iofix Yeh !!!!!! ... Cheers mate !!!! .... You can buy a 12V "Spike" -(probe) ... to just "boot around" the switchpack or wiring harness quite cheap now (£30ish) or even an old circuit tester with an ammeter "in line" that's fused then just "nick" the power downside of the window fuse and feed it trough just to get the windows working again !!! .... (those probes used to be over £100 about 20 years ago) but cheap now !!! .... Yeh the wire going to the switchpack will be red and quite a bit thicker than the others ??? ..... Hey electric windows need to work for "ROAD RAGE" lol !!!!! ....... Ah mate i still love old cars and dislike new ones !!! MANY THANKS
