I think that the bulb should actually be a 0.5W T5. I used a 1.2W one, but it seems to heat up the area a little bit too much.

If i connect red brown its working, i i connect red grey or brown grey its not working. Normally greu and brown should work , but its not. Can you please help ? Spoate in Romina să-mi explici

Sorry, but it's been a long time since I worked in that area, so I don't remember anything about the wires.

It's seem fixed by itself, the light now it's on. I did nothing, i put everything back in place and after a few hours I notice the light, so seems like everything it's working. Thank you for the answer.
@UltimateDIY2 жыл бұрын
Did you have the lights on when you were testing? It only works when other interior lights are on.
@alienbox4402 жыл бұрын
I figured it out what I did. So the big problem was my mistake. The lights was in position automatic , so that's why the cigarette light was off after changing the new bulb, I figured it out after 6 or 7pm when the lights was turning on automatic. I lern something new , next time I will turn the lights in normal position to make sure everything is working well

Let me just say, I appreciate guys like you who take the time to show us in what I like to call an honest way not using auto mechanic terms or even their tools as most of us don't have them and they make it look easier than most jobs are. For the record I have a 2011 A4 standard transmission so I bought a LED shift knob (The coin on the top has the numbers and the word turbo light up in red looks awesome at night) so I needed a place to get 12 V power so wasn't necessarily concerned about replacing the bulb. Full disclosure I didn't get through your whole video just wanted to see how to access the area and your video came up first. It didn't work at first so my recommendation would be check your fuse first (I googled which panel it's in) it's a 15 amp and sure enough mine was blown. Thank you again though and good luck with your Audi

Have just done this to my s4 after watching your video, and I don't even smoke - but I'm the type of person that likes everything operational. You certainly need a lot of patients and a set of pry tools help. It's a lot of work to change one teeny tiny bulb.

Same for me. I feel all warm and fuzzy when I see it working 😄

Maybe just an aftertought... install a led bulb, so you never have to do this job again. But you would be in uncharted waters :)

I have the same issue on my A5 . Light bulb and ashtray lid is difficult to slide. Is the bulb T5 ?
@UltimateDIY4 жыл бұрын
I don't remember the bulb model, but I say it in the video for sure. I recomend you put a led bulb in, so you never have to do this again.

Hi, I appreciate what you are doing for showing all these things that can save money to audi owners and I have an issue with lightbulb from the charger inside the armrest. Is functioning intermitent and I would like to get access to that area. Looked on tha but is quite difficult. Do you have such issue or maybe can invest some time in a such tutorial?
@UltimateDIY3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thank you! I don't have an issue with that, but might do a video in a few months when I fully remove the central console for some modifications.
@bogdantudor40133 жыл бұрын
So is not so easy to change the lightbulb. Thank you and looking forward to your clip when it will be .. goodluck!
@UltimateDIY3 жыл бұрын
I do not know how easy it is, but I expect to have a clear understanding when the console is out anyway :)

Where's the fuse for that light?
@UltimateDIY2 жыл бұрын
I doubt it's a dedicated fuse. Probably it's the same fuse as for the rest of interior lights.
