Hi Dis521741, I did not replace the Brushes, I only cleaned the Commutator. The oil level can be checked as the Reservoir is on the motor..

@@jaypeacock2810 Hi Jay, that's exactly the same issue I had. The roof (hood) would open but then stop when the boot (trunk) was about to lift, as though there was not quite enough power. You can manually open and close the roof using the Key which is hidden in the side of the Dashboard. this is designed for emergency use only though. Regards.

Hi Blu, Had the same issue at one stage, the cover would open and then stop. Check the Hydraulic Fluid level and then try a manual full reset with the manual override key side of the dashboard. Regards.

bLu OK Blu, give it a try and check the condition of the Carbon Brushes also for excessive wear, not sure if they are replaceable.

Green-Crocs-Fixes Did you fix the problem? My A4 is doing the same. It will unhook from the front window, the back will come up, then the lid will pop but not open all the way up.
