Retrofit & Adding Wireless Apple Carplay Into The Audi MMI MIB2 Navigation System A6 A7. Walkthrough Of How It Works & Pairing
This is one of our newer and vastly improved Apple CarPlay systems that allows for True Wireless Apple CarPlay in the newer MIB2 Platforms. On some of the Audi A6/A7 vehicles it's not possible to activate & install the Audi Smartphone Interface / Apple CarPlay which is where this module comes into play.
In this video we show you how to get paired up and the functionality and control of the system once connected so you can see how it will work prior to purchase.
On the Audi platform this module is compatible with:
✔ A4/A5/Q5 with Concert or Symphony
✔ A4/A5/A6/Q5/Q7 with MMI 3G / 3G+
✔ A1 / Q3 with RMC / MMI 3G
✔ A3(8V)/A4(B9)/A5(F5)/Q5(FY) with MIB
✔ A6 / A7 / A8 with MIB

hello and congrats on your video!!! i have an AUDI rs6 c7 model 2015 facelift with MMI 3g Is it possible to make original screen play : you tube and netflix or other internet based videos or movies??? also how can we connect the DVD player of the MMI with HDMI to other screen or tablet??? thank you and keep up the good work!!!

I have an A6 2016 how can I mirrorlink or get this unit up as the car came without wifi connection or usb and I want to have different nav on the display as audi one is rubbish. Thanks

No Apple doesn't licence the use of this info in the Instrument Cluster or HUD.

Is it possible launch wireless android auto using this retrofit on Audi A3 8v 2017 with MIB2 and AA support? The only issue I don't have AUX in my car. Only USB ports.

MIB? isnt that system only in lower end cars like a3? I thought a6 only had mmi as base option.

When the A6 (4G) was facelifted it moved to MIB tech behind the scenes which has allowed for things like higher resolution Reversing Camera etc 😁

You can only use Apps that are authorised by Apple to be on CarPlay. Anything that allows a moving image such as YT or VLC is not allowed for safety reasons.

the same thing is available from Ali express for 195£ :P the only problem i see is these companies buy it from there and then sell it 3 times the price, i don't mind if they export it give warranty etc, i would be happy to pay 300£ but for them to charge 400£ on top that is just insane
