Audi Allroad compressor overheat and pressure accumulator disabling

How to disable air accumulator filling function.
Audi Allroad Quattro (c5 2000-2005) air compressor filling air accumulator up to 16 bars while driving above 70km/h. Air springs rise car to 4th level with 10-11bars pressure. Aged compressors which can rise car but cannot build 16 bars pressure overloaded during this time and also compressor stops due to overtemperature fault. Build-in pressure sensor (G291) in valve module used during filling air accumulator. Suspension control module (J197) will not attempt to fill air accumulator after cutting pressure signal wire but all other functions will work. There will be pressure sensor related fault code but fault light in instrument cluster will not lit. Compressor relay will work very often.

I removed the Wabco Continental ZSB suspension compressor on my 2005 Audi Allroad. I have a hard and steady 01397 code failure indicating the N111 solenoid was bad. I didn't see any bad wiring anywhere, so I removed the compressor. How do I bench check this compressor to confirm it's bad? It seemed to be working fine before it failed suddenly as I was driving it. Over a week or so it sunk down evenly to the lowest stops on all fours wheels. When I disconnected the brown airline to it, air was released as of it was being stored well in the system. The numbers after Wabco are: 001 0424. Does this mean it was made on 2004? Thanks!

What is the error that you mention? I have the same behaviour but without any error in Vag Com. Probably I have the wire damage/cut and that's the rout cause of the problem that I'm trying to solve for years.

just disconnect temperature sensor jack and plug in 10K Ohm resistor, then the temp will report around 30 degrees Celsius, and compressor will work normal.

I don't know how to do it on C6, if there is pressure sensor (I believe there is) you can try it, don't cut but remove pin from harness. On c5 we are lucky that this fault is not important and not lit fault indicator on dash. Compressor never filling reservoir, only works to fill air springs.

This is a good idea if you want to burn up your compressor. If you're watching this, and think this sounds like a good idea, DON'T DO IT.

This is misleading from the factory manual the compressor is regulated by the temp and not pressure. That’s why a brand new car will have the error stored. The compressor is not only used on adjusting the height but also during driving i.e breaking and cornering etc. The compressor will be activated when the pressure accumulator pressures drops to around 12.3 bars while driving at about 22mph or 35km/h.
