(I know your's is the Q5) but thought I would try this on my A6 avant as it would not go past the half way point with a helping hand and sometimes I would have to pull it by hand to close it. After trying what you said it did not set the height but seemed to have resolved the issue of stopping half way. It now opens fully and closes. Thank you.

2011 Q5 premium, love it! Bought it from a non Audi dealer so they were not sure of all the options either I have learned it is not equipped with Audi connect.

I was having a problem with the tailgate on my A6 ! Thought it was the gas struts ( due to arrive from Germany in a day or so) Anyway I tried this and it worked ! Brilliant!

My new Sq5 option with foot sensors seem to be malfunctioning. I was loading groceries in and it closed on me, my head I couldn’t stop it. Dealer says no way to remove? I’m ready to tape sensors big bump

I did the same thing and the red light flashed. But it will still open the same height, the tailgate still can't change its height. Can anybody help me ?

I wished I'd got the electric tailgate option when I got mine. Audi won't retrofit them.
