As a German i'm happy i finally found Autogefühl. Compared to especially American Car Channels, Autogefühl is rather neutral and doesn't make stuff up or exaggerate just to fit a Trend (See all the "I bought a and it died and is unreliable and German Cars used to be good 30 years ago" Meme). Autogefühl points out proper Criticism that is well deserved but doesn't jump on the weird mysterious "German Cars are bad"-Train certain US Clickbait KZfaqr popularized in the past Years. My old 2012 golf 6 that was 27k euro brand new has this. More and more of the auto industry is losing touch with their customers. Glossy screens, glossy plastic, too bright interior for night driving, shoving controls in the infotainment, etc. Hope they come back on some of the basic quality of life decisions like vw coming back to real buttons on the steering wheel. I'm starting to fear getting a newer car because of things I see will become constant annoyances.

For me the interior looks quite cheap, concidering its a "premium" car maker.. Shiny piano black plastics, fabrics, the removal of physical A/C controls and the capacitive BS buttons on the driver door and steering wheel feel like cost savings to the max.. and this specced out will probably be nearly 100k€.

I´m totally with you on that "pay on demand" trend that manufacturers are trying to implement nowadays. I live in Finland and agree that the VW group matrix LED lighting system is very good in the winter, but up here it´s practically dark 9 months out of 12, so i would of course buy the car with full functionality. I doubt you save any money in the long run by subscribing for functions like that. It will brobably cost you more in the end then simply buy the function upfront with the car.
@Rrroarr
@Rrroarr 2 ай бұрын
I get it but we're heading towards a "car as a service", I think ownership will be only for very special cars (sport etc). For example: I'm leasing a car for 3 years. I wouldn't mind having a set of features that I pay per use, they become business expenses. Ideally the base model costs less and I add whatever I want, when I want. And they become fully deductible. It's not for everyone, but we're heading towards a society where ownership will be not the only way to have a car.

@julianbeck2408

I can only think of two reasons: 1. Design. Someone somewhere thought it looked "progressive", so they implemented it (BMW). Then, because of trends, everyone is now following. 2. Headlight height. Cars, EVs especially, tend to get higher and higher. People in older, smaller, lower cars were starting to complain about getting blinded by all those highly mounted headlights. Therefore a solution had to be made and this split-headlight-design was made up to position the (not too bright) DRL in their usual spots while the bright low- and high beam is situated lower. Doesn't Look great imo. Although personally I think Audi does pull it off better than BMW

The capacitative touch panels in the door and steering wheel are awful, the passenger display isn’t integrated with the design of the dash at all, the wireless charging pad is the worst solution in any car, the cupholder cover is the cheapest sounding piece of trim in any car, there’s hard plastic in the rear on the doors AND they are still using that awful rear cupholder solution where your elbow rests inside the cupholder. I would rather have the new Scenic EV, Skoda Enyaq or just the new Duster which costs a third of what this is going to be and is a very decent non-EV car.

Sadly Audi is still behind or moves in the wrong direction. This car or platform is huge for their company but they're still too slow with their EV line-up. This car should've been rolled out at least in summer 2022. There is still no A6 e-tron on the horizon or Avant and the interior design is nothing new. It looks like an 2017 Audi from the inside. Some may find it got, some not. Their capacity buttons is also a step in the wrong direction

And even worse bringing luxury features to lower end cars is a crime discrediting the features themselves f.e. the leather dashboard exclusive for a8 a7 a6 now in every cheap car fake leathered dashboard or even worse in vw and cheap audis plastic with stitches....

Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iZeRgb2W1MfYnXk.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z9aCgc6IntTWoqs.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bNyImLOCzsWxcZ8.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q59kjLt7nJi5hHU.html More and more natural materials are rising: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLiDprt2092sdKM.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLaPdtl90ceqnH0.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtGadqSe1pfDaHk.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? Remember that animal skin leather is no different to fur, fur is just leather where the hair is still on. And fur is widely not accepted for clothing anymore, and of course not for cars. We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future. For a great insight into sustainability in the automotive industry, you can also check out our extensive documentary: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y56Xgbudt63Sl3U.html

Fantastic car, and excellent review! I leased a 2021 e-tron , and now I own a 2022 Q4 e-tron. The 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron is setting new standards in the luxury electric SUV market. Positioned between the compact Q4 e-tron and the larger Q8 e-tron, the Q6 e-tron is the most harmonious and satisfying electric SUV driven so far. Technologically, the Q6 e-tron is equipped with advanced features like a dual-400V 800V battery pack that supports rapid charging-reaching 80% charge in just 30 minutes. This setup not only enhances efficiency but also reduces the overall size and weight of necessary components. The Audi Q6 e-tron represents a significant step forward for Audi in the electric vehicle market, showcasing their commitment to luxury and performance in an environmentally friendly package. I spoke with the local Audi dealership in the United States, and they have informed me that they will begin accepting orders in September, with a guaranteed delivery by December.

A BMW x5 phev has a 26 kWh battery which is half of the battery found in the Volvo ex30 core. This means that the production of the x5 emits almost as much co2 as the production of an entire ev while the X5 gets less range and is very inefficient when the battery is depleted.
