Hi, nice and informative video. In my Audi Q7 while closing the dicky door on cluster it shows closed for few seconds and then it shows the dicky is open. What would be the issue? As you said in the video by replacing the catcher whether the problem will be solved? May I know why did you replace the catcher?

Was your tailgate light affected by the latch not closing? My latch is not working and the lights are not as well... bumper lights working .

When the latch is not working, the tailgate lights will not work but the bumper lights will perform in its place. This is expected and sounds like what you are experiencing.

Please help me . The remote opens the trunk but it doesnt close it , and when i press the button to close it i hear nois in the trunk door

Is there a way to test the lock actuator striker plate before replacing to ensure its not the latch that's the problem? I think my striker needs replacing just like yours but don't know for sure.

Not that I am aware of, but if you are having the same symptoms as I was having its probably the lock actuator striker plate.

@@ZadiusTech what was the issue? Mine is clicking a bunch and I have to press down on the hatch for it to fully latch however my dash also shows my hatch is open when it's not

@@tashadzedzy9117 mine is also making a winding (clicking sound) like the mechanism continues for about 2-3 seconds after the boot closes not sure if thats normal. but i also have the dash showing my hatch is open when its not. Im trying to figure out whats going on.

Are the two springs required with the new part? I notice you did not transfer them from the old part to the new.

You don't need to transfer anything from the old part to the new. The new part has the springs but they are covered by the metal so you can't see them.

yeah, mine had similar problem to yours, so I would recommend replacing the striker plate next.

@@ZadiusTech Striker Plate fixed it! Odd issue, after install, the button to close hatch did not work at all. Tested the old one, it worked fine. So I put the new latch plate back on and forced the hatch closed manually. After that, it all worked as normal. Thanks again!
