This new RS3 still has still the iconic 5 cylinder engine that produces 400HP and 500Nm of torque (20Nm more than the previous model), but due to regulations to reduce the emissions, 2 massive OPF (GPF) filters have been added to the exhaust which also make it harder to hear that beautiful 5 cylinder. When it comes to the sound, the 2015 - 2018 pre face-lift RS3 with the OEM sports exhaust is still unmatched.

Agreed! Cant beat that unleashed 5 cylinder sound, but correct me if im wrong, did the face lift come out in 2017? So pre 2017 would be pre face lift?

OPF really ruins the sound on a lot of cars. Even the RS with that very known 2.5L 5cyl sound, sounds like a dyson compared to the previous generations. Mine as well went from a soft barely noticeable sound to a sound where it wish it was a little bit quieter 😅 Only thing that changed was the downpipe for the opf delete. The rest of the exhaust is stock.

Not all cars ok this video have opf delete, thus in some countries is is illegal
