I used a metal plate to cover top end ports and removed low end runner extensions. So, now I have mid runners for the whole rpm range. No dyno done yet but feels good to me. My guess is that I may have lost a bit on bottom and top end but gained on midrange where I spend most of my driving time. Gas mileage is about 15-17 mpg depending on how hard I go on her and feels just as strong if not more than before. Again, no dyno so obviously just my butt telling me this😅. In a pinch and if not wanting to buy a new manifold this is an option since I did not require tune and have no check engine or hesitation on low end like when you run open ports for top end. My previous vehicles show the inside of the manifold if you want a look at the plate.
