Ken Tembe yes. Definitely...I’ve been waiting since April for my Q8 Vorsprung petrol. I’m informed I can drive it on 1st March 2020.

Ken Tembe my Q8 will be the 3 litre turbo petrol Vorsprung...with added extras such as front and rear dash cams, cobra track, black roof bars and black rings. It’s the Dragon Yellow finish. That’s why I have been waiting since April...the EU decided the petrol engines polluted too much and Audi has been tweaking them. An exotic oil burner (SQ8 and RSQ8) sound a wonderful proposition, but in UK many cities are allegedly going to ban Diesels and lets be honest, where is anyone going to be able to legally exercise an S or an RS? I shall be extremely content with my 0-60mph in 6 secs. HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

Audi has kindly informed me today (30 Jan 2020) that my (Dragon Orange 3litre petrol Vorsprung with a load of other essential options built in) Q8 has landed in UK. Roll on 1st March!

Totally right. I drive the Q7 and was hoping to move up to the Q8 but after watching your review I am sticking to my Q7. You were absolutely spot on in your analysis of the Q7 and so I assume your analysis of the Q8 will be as well. Thanks for this review, it’s been really helpful

Another sterling review from Rory. His joy of driving comes through, as does his deep knowledge. I find his appraisals balanced, and I like how he is critical without being an arrogant tosser. Great review as always. The SQ8 would be my choice. I love the look of it, especially in that black with the black accents on the wheels. And it still has more than enough practically for me.

Great comparison. I was in Audi the other day looking at both. When the salesman told me the price difference and that the cheaper of the 2 has potentially 7 seats and a bigger boot, with 2 kids it was a no brainer for me! SQ8 looks great, but cant warrant the extra money for less space.

I love your commentary and videos and spot on with the Audi's. I miss my 2017 Audi SQ5 but, she was always spendy, slighty not as dependable as I thought it would be. But, sporty, gorgeous, sounded great and fun to drive and only the second SUV I ever owned but the wife didn't want another.

Natural BB I agree, that’s a beautiful machine there, but it’s the wrong class. That’s more comparable to the Q5, whereas these would be compared to the x7, which is not as good looking. I do agree with the other guy though, I’ll take the RS6 over these any day.

Parcel shelf does go into the boot on the sq7. You put it in the recess to the left hand side then it just slides in.

The seats flip up and forward to access the 3rd row in the Q7/SQ7. Makes it much easier to get in then climbing over.

Your one of the best out there..great reviews! I think you are right (just not in that deep blue that AUDI and Porsche are using everywhere ..boring color) the sq7 is the better SUV with a great look combo of performance and utility. I think the SQ8 looks awesome in black or grey or white but having more storage and a pop up 3rd row is mega.

Great comparison as to technology, details of vehicles and presentation. I have a 2 year old Q 7 and will get a 2020 instead of the Q 8. It would be good to do a comparison of the Premium, Premium plus and Prestige levels.

I have a 2018 SQ7 and have to agree…..awesome machine. Had 6 of us and a dog around the Lake District in it and still got >32mpg over 1 in 4 climbs!!!

I have the SQ5 and it's a dream to drive and I love its great looks. The SQ8 is compelling. I love it's onroad presence. Let's see in a few years when I'm ready to trade my SQ5 in.

@@danielgerssen3451 Lol, I dont lust after any of those trash, this Q7 was the worst received design ever since this car came out both by general public and auto journalists alike and the reason I call it dull is bcuz of the proportion of the car...it looks like a big bloated jacked up fat wagon, the facelift is over styled and made the car look ever more fussy in design but didnt make it any less boring, with or without the facelift this car has absolutely no presence on the road ( unlike the X5, RR Sport, GLE, Xc90) looks like a big slab of car in your face....I am sure u are the one who has terrible taste buddy if u like this over styled moms weekend getaway lumbering minivan which is the worst looking suv in its segment!!
