I'm also planning on upgrading my BMW 1 series to this one, but it's incredible the prices here in Portugal you pay no less than 26k€ for this same exact car, while in the UK you can get this for 15k, even in Germany it's around 22k. You guys really have a nice awesome used car market.

I have just watched a review you did on a base Porsche Boxster a car which I have owned before buying my 2017Audi TT S line roadster four years ago. There are many things I like about the Audi but it does not handle anywhere near as good as the Boxster. Fuel economy is good, better than the Boxster
@BuckleUpShow
@BuckleUpShow 9 ай бұрын
The TT will never handle as well as a mid-engined two-seater with a Porsche chassis, but as far as a vehicle built on a primarily FWD platform goes, it's not bad. The TT is much more usable than a Boxster would be in a daily sense, partly due to packaging and partly due to running costs. Both excellent cars, though - I must compliment you on your taste!

Great review! What would be your thoughts on getting this car as a first car in Ireland?
@BuckleUpShow
@BuckleUpShow 28 күн бұрын
It would be a bit of an expensive first car to buy and run. It's a great car, but due to the lower seating position it will be more difficult to position on the road than a hatchback, and you've got worse visibility due to the coupe roof too. We know that cars tend to be more expensive in Ireland too, and especially as a first car, we'd recommend something cheaper.

Thank you! I do like the colour a lot! Yes, this is the S-Line, which gives you sportier styling, stiffer suspension, nicer alloys and some fancier bits in the interior, but still only with the 230PS that the standard Quattro model of the TT produces.

DSG is smooth on shifts and in town? DSG of every TT mk3 is always jerky at low speeds (usually when you are parking). Try to parallel park without it lurching on you. I dare you :D
@BuckleUpShow
@BuckleUpShow 2 ай бұрын
I've never had a problem with trying to park the car at low speeds, it's a case of being incredibly gentle with your pedal inputs. A DSG will never be quite as smooth as you can make a manual, and obviously miles behind a conventional automatic gearbox.

I disagree with the manual gearbox engagement , it felt numb and just like I was driving an A4 avant
@BuckleUpShow
@BuckleUpShow 7 ай бұрын
Hi Paul, the car in this video doesn't have a Manual Gearbox as it was not possible to get the manual in the 2.0 TFSI Quattro TT. (TTS, yes) As a result there is no discussion about engagement of a manual gearbox?
@paulwilkinson3963
@paulwilkinson3963 7 ай бұрын
Hi yeah but you mentioned it’s not as engaging as a manual gearbox. I know you could only get the manual with front wheel drive but to me the gear stick and notching was just not fitting for a sports car which I was hoping for that’s why I tried one and was hoping to save a little bit of money at the same time

@BuckleUpShow
@BuckleUpShow 5 ай бұрын
1.45 m, though it's more guidance, as different people have different length bodies and legs. Someone may have short legs but a long body and be less than 1.45 m, but their head would still touch the roof. You don’t have to defend the car's shortcomings just because you own one. It’s objectively poor rear passenger space.
