I can't help loving Rick Wilson, but there's still a part of me that resents him. People like him have played a major role in the GOP's 'monstrification process' so, in my view, he helped us get into the dire situation we're in.

True enough, but it took a maniac worse than W for Rick Wilson to finally see the light. Leave it to the Republicans to keep finding the worst of the worst for president!

I agree with Rick Wilson about the dangers of making Bernie our candidate/nominee. Let me state upfront that I like Bernie and I like many of his ideas. The problem is that we must stop believing that all (or even most) "Democrats" are liberal or progressive; much less socialists or even social democrats. I happen to be all the above, but I'm just one voter. As long as we believe that Bernie will get enough Democrats to vote for him in the general election and win decisively against Trump , we're going to lose the election . The folks who are anti-abortion, anti same sex marriage, hate "Socialism" "Communism," and radical social reform may be Democrats, but they are unlikely to vote for a "radical" such as Bernie. They will stay at home and not vote at all! Being passionate about Bernie is -- contrary to appearances, I think -- NOT a majoritarian point of view amongst Democrats. If we confuse rallies with votes, we will surely rue the day. Listen to Rick Wilson (and hopefully to Barack Obama ) who know what they are talking about about Bernie as the party's candidate in the general election. As for me, I shall vote for whoever is our nominee because sitting out this critical election is OUT OF THE QUESTION!

@@KleWdSide I agree. I like Bernie, but so does [did] Trump: as lunch. The Russians, BTW, did too, because they thought that Trump would walk all over him --as far as audiences went. This is not a contest of intellect and ideas; this is a street fight with someone who cares only about one thing, i.e. winning at all costs.

@@waggishsagacity7947 Despite all the Bernouts & right wingers with their smears about how Biden has dementia, I think they're all underestimating him since he's hardly intimidated by Trump & will definitely get under his skin in a debate. Biden's pretty fiery & quick-witted at times.

@@KleWdSide Happily, I agree again. We'll have to see how it rolls out. I don't want to see one or more new conservatives on the Supreme Court. THAT is , and ought to be ,our only policy in 2020.

@@GrimJerr Pretty much. Although I think he'd shoot you in the front, not the back. He's pretty honest about what he does. But as long as we bear all that in mind at all times it's reasonable to use his help.

I would say the GOP or whatever you want to call it. Started around Goldwater. Since then it's been going downhill. Since they were the ones who were against civil rights. ERA(which should be in the constitution by now), etc.

How do you know if what you hear is Propaganda because propaganda is information that is not objective and is used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis or perception, or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is presented.

Why not start the Lincoln party after this next election? If you don't wanna join us that is. I can't see the Republican Party ever recovering from trump and his cultists. Even if I agreed politically they're not people I'd ever want to be associated with

So right about Tom Perez, epic fail. ...and for the record, I didn't vote for Hillary in 2016, I voted for Gary Johnson, and in 2020 I'd vote for a dead skunk over Dotard Judas tRump.
