Really good explanation and I like how you poll Audient user's in the comment, rather than give a generic response like other reviewers give. I watched another review where you could tell the person was giving out information when he had not used the device.

@@mastermiller9776 I was using an old m-audio 2496 and currently in the market for a usb one. I am leaning towards the Audient ID14. I have read the Apollo solo has issues on PC compared to Mac. Thanks again.

I Would Definitely Pump The Breaks On Buying Any Of The APOLLO Line Interfaces Until You Are FULLY AWARE Of How The UAD PLATFORM Really Works.. 🤷🏽♂Maybe You Already Do. However, I Say This Outta LOVE Because Handfuls Of People Buy The APOLLOS Initially cuz They Know The Brand Is LEGIT. .. But Then Once They Come To Understand How All Of Their Hardware & Software Is "Woven" They Get Frustrated and Start Talking Bad About UA Cuz They Didn't UNDERSTAND B4 They Bought In To Their First Unit. BOTTOM LINE: You Had The Right Idea. Lean Into That AUDIENT iD14 MKII. We Got Links In The Description Above That'll Take You Str8 To It Whenever You're Ready. Any Other Questions.. Never Hesitate to Ask.

I'm blown away by the review! Amazing job. I wonder if one of the creators is The Division player. I ask this because ''Differences detected, Line Outputs'' sounds like an I.S.A.C. (Intelligent System Analytic Computer) which is highly advanced artificial intelligence (AI) who is giving the information to the agents from my fav looter shooter game series The Division. My guess is that someone got the motivation from it. Anyway, I like the idea to put something like that in the review video, really. :)

I have the Audient ID4 MK2. That one is great if you want to record only guitar and vocals. However, in my case, as a piano player, I also have a two-channel audio interface for when I want to record my piano in stereo. I recently purchased a high-quality piano plugin for when I do not feel like recording my piano in stereo. Midi comes in handy!

I want to record my guitar directly into the front of the interface and use vst plugins. Is the Audient ID4 mkii good enough for that? Is latency good too???

As a noob I was genuinely confused getting the ID4 or ID14. But from the video and comments I think ID4 is good for me. Saves me some money too for a Cloud lifter.

I Would Definitely Go With The iD14 MK II Off The Conversion Alone.. Beyond That.. The Mic You Choose To Go With Would Depend On Your Budget.. I Would Be Inclined To Say That SHURE sm7b.. But I Would Also Then Recommend That You Buy That Cloudlifter Along With It. On a Cheaper Note, Even Tho Nobody Really Talks About It.. The First Mic I Ever Bought Was An MXL 990 and I Still Use It To This Day and You Can Get That Joint For Under $100 Oh & hey I've Been Trying To Reply To This Comment for the last Week But For Whatever Reason My Replies Haven't Been Posting. So Lemme Know When U Get This.

I have the iD4 MKII and the iD44 MKII. Best of all worlds? I love the small footprint of the iD4. Great for grab and go or mobile setups to have high fidelity Zoom calls, and the iD44 does anything else ... the iD14 seems like a compromise unit, my guess is that the iD4 or iD44 would be the best fit for most people/scenarios.

Man McQueen, 🙏🏾I Can Understand Where Ur Coming From With That.. Can't Say I Disagree.. The Only Reason Why I Recommend The iD14.. Is That It Offers People The Ability To Create Stereo Recordings.. And That Moving Up To The iD44, Moves Beyond Some Peoples Budget 🤷🏽♂ But YES.. By All Means, If One Can Afford It.. I Would Definitely Recommend That Unit 🎯.. 😏 But Ur Already On That So 🚀💫

Great review!! What should i choose? The price here in Sweden is 15 dollar between EVO 4 and ID4 Mkii (more expensive). - I have Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250Ohm headphones, AKG D5 microphone and Edifier 1855DB speakers. I want the device to drive them all for gaming, listening to music and watching videos. - I want to switch audio source between Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro and Edifier 1855DB easy, which one is the best for that? - I want to drive my AKG D5 microphone to a good level without having to go 90-100 % gain. - Can you mute/unmute microphone quickly on iD4 Mkii? How do you do it?

Q2: I Have Complete Confidence That The iD14 MK II Can "Drive" the DT 990 Headphones & The AKG D5.. But Where MY CONCERN Lies Is Within The CONNECTIVITY On The Back Of The EDIFIERS.. Those Seem To Be Geared Towards "Multi-Media/General House Hold" Use.. As They Are Not Equipped With a 1/4 Inch or 3 pin XLR Jack On The Back.. In Which 10/10 Times is How Speakers or STUDIO MONITORS, Connect To An Audio Interface.. I Say That To Say.. If You Could Double-Check/Confirm for Me That Your Speakers DO NOT, In Fact, Have a 1/4 or 3 Pin XLR Jack On The Back.. ..Or Do They..? In Addition To That, As I'm Genuinely Curious About Your Setup.. Are You Gaming On a PC.. (I Would Imagine Yes) or Are You Gaming Off A" Stand-Alone" Gaming Console..?

Q2: Nice that it is powerful enough for the headphones and microphone! Thank you for giving me information about the connection. Didn't think about that. Yeah I understand your concern, I use it with RCA to 3.5mm to my Sound BlasterX G6 right now. It can go They do not have a 1/4 or 3 pin XLR jack on the back. The speaker have RCA inputs, optical input and coaxial input. I am gaming on a pc :)

IF YOU CHOOSE TO Incorporate The iD14 MKII Then U Will Ultimately End Up Looking For Another Pair Of Speakers (This Time Around Something Geared Towards RECORDING STUDIO USE That Has Proper CONNECTIVITY To Connect To The iD14 MK II. Q3: AUDIO INTERFACES Don't Really Work Like That, To Where Ur "Switching" Between Audio Sources. Other Units Referred to As "MONITOR CONTROLLERS" Do.. But With The iD14 MK II, You Set Up Ur ROUTING (of AUDIO SOURCES) How U Want Them In The SOFTWARE MIXER and Then Ur Just Setting Ur Volume For Those Active Channels You've Set Up and Rolling With That. Adjusting Levels on the fly if need be. Q4: Driving The D5 Should Not Be A Problem.. at All. Q5: With The mute/unmute of the MIC Used With An Audio Interface. There Really is NO "QUICK MIC MUTE" Function.. At Least That I've Seen. There Is a "DIM" Function That Is Designed For "Dimming" The Volume Of Audio Playback So Persons In The Studio Can Communicate Easier At Any Given Moment. But If Ur Wanting To MUTE The MIC.. You'd Have To Press The "M" Button (MUTE), On The Respective MIC Channel In The AUDIENT iD Software Mixer. 🙏🏾..Hope This Helps.

@@mastermiller9776 Thank you for the amazing answer!! :D Q2: I've talked with audient and they said that I only need a RCA to TS cable for it to work with Audient ID4 Mkii or EVO 4. Q3: Hm okey, on EVO 4 it is fast to take out the headphone cable, then it's switching to speaker sound. Q4: Oh okey, nice! Q5: Then I think EVO 4 is faster, only hold down channel button to mute the microphone. Thank you again for your time, really appreciate it!!

@@mastermiller9776 I would have the gain knob at 9, but it doesn't have to be set that high. The Audient iD4 will still drive the SM7B at a lower gain. The interface has low noise too!
