6:50 are you sure the Linn has a disc player? I thought it was only a streamer/dac/integrated.

The TAD CR1 is also my dream speaker. I really love japanese audio gear and I would love to get this speaker one day with its matching power amp and that wonderful Accuphase pre amp.

Something MUST be expensive to separate rich people from the rest. Besides, this gear offers exceptional finishing, customer service, and most of them - outstanding technical data (and every 0.001% in THD requires years of experiments). Not always 0.001% THD means good sound, but in most cases.

@@sc0or You said it all. There'll always be ppl way too snobbish to buy regular common stuff that us 'average consumer guys' buy. They know their rich friends wouldn't give 'em any credibility if they DIDN'T get the the high-end gear : )

Nice video but its funny how the ,,High End,, Segment complete ignore the Active Solutions (ATC, Kii, Dutch&Dutch, Neumann...) - The next Question also would be, how can a Prize help? A lot of the Hifi Products i heard are also win awards and they sound terrible or not worth the price...

If the price ain't above 20K you ain't gonna get the Gold price :-) The TAD speakers you want is something like 30 or 60K USD? I will quibble whether those are bookshelf speakers or not. Last but not least, do you know whatever happened to Diatone? They used to make fabulous speakers and I used to own one of their cheapest pairs.

TAD CR1TX should be around 40k with stands in the US , Diatone is out of business since 1999.

You'll have to excuse me, but these awards are meaningless. You haven't heard the gear, and the vast majority are stratospherically priced. Most of us search for great sound at bargain prices, and that remains where my interest lies.

I like that tubes and vinyl still are awarded these days. I like the top except Denon. Their just normal quality products are overpriced, sorry -)

@@82ivaylo Something like "not remarkable" without wow effect. Just an amplifier. With exceptions like PMA 1600 which seems have a good performance to price ratio. Besides, Denon just copied Pioneer. And very much likes to add $300 to its price with replacing 50c capacitor.

@@sc0or Pioneer A 50 and A 70 are clas D amplifiers. The PMA 1600NE and upper models are ultra high current MOS FET amplifiers. Tottaly different technology.
