Restoring the burnt-out amplifier is my job today. A few tips: use thermal pads instead of that shit white paste. With a thermal pad you dont need that piece of insulating plastic. With this old equipment always check the fans bearing. Its possible, that they dried out. In my opinion, they belong to the recycle bin and replace them with Noctua Flex fans. They come with the 2 pin adapter. They are much much more quieter, than the original stock fans(i have a Technics SA-TX50 with Noctua fan).

the comments about up in smoke and going thru so much work. Well I say this. sure you could have taken short cuts but stripping it down completely isn't that much more work anyway. you get to clean everything use all new screws re-paint ,give it a face lift. all those caps needed to be changed anyway, new bridges are cheep. It's a nice amp I think its a job ŵell done
