A simple fix video today BECAUSE a lot of people are afraid of peeling the leather away thinking that they will damage the headband. Also many did not know that it is a very simple process to remove the flaking entirely. 5 minutes tops.

Done that with my boxing gloves. Works like a charm on headphones as well... NOte that doing this on earpads will change the sound signature, but there's no problems in doing that on headband.

I wonder if there's a stuff to apply on the headband to prevent flaking, moisturizer or something ?

Did that, and coated it with few layers of black rubber spray. Doesn't look as good as new, but looks 10 times nicer than not doing it.

@@sgaudiohive I used Aeropak. Inexpensive, the odor is bearable and gone in several days. Not sure how long it will last, but I tried scratching it with moderate force, got no scratch marks.

Great to know they work on fabric! Those are quite elastic I'm sure they can hold up well, or else they can be peeled away fairly easily and repainted

I bought the Shure HPAEC840 Replacement Ear Cushions. Fits perfectly and they've lasted way longer than the original

Hello, I got a question, Can I use a M50 Headband for M40 Ear piece?

If I'm not wrong the size of the headband is the same for 40 and 50

Yes, it's same visually but main question is the length between the hooks of ear piece. In M50 it's 7 cms but don't know about M40 My M40 headband is dead & technical person is telling that you have to dispose this headphones but I know it can get fixed with a new headband. Thinking to order a M50 headband from AliExpress
