Being a lifelong Broncos fan, I really appreciate how great of a running back Terrell Davis is. He is exactly what John Elway needed for his whole career.

Not top 5, but by position, possibly top 50 (by metrics we'd also have to use for guys like Bo Jackson, whose careers were overly short in relation to talent and production. T.D. got in for the same reason Andre Reed got in, being on a solid, championship winning team, with a guy like John Elway (Jim Kelly as it relates to Reed)

And the only one with less then 100y was his first against the Jaguars when he had 91 in only 14 carries. Mike Shanahan said he is still pissed off because he called too few runs in the second half.

TD has 1140 yds and 12 td’s in 8 playoff games. That’s 2280 yds and 24 td’s in a 16 game season. That’s why he’s in the HOF. Greatest post season RB ever. As a big John Riggins fan, who was likewise a monster in the postseason, thats not easy to admit, but I gotta give it to TD.

His bid for the Hall of Fame (duration wise) was solidified by that tackle and the injury. They like a guy better (if he's a tweener for the Hall) who went out on his shield, than someone who had some down years due to drop off.

Timing and luck seemed to fall in his favor a lot in his career...And he was very talented. His biggest talent was his vision. Back then Denver ran a "Zone" blocking scheme and it created lanes for Running Backs. His vision allowed him to bend a run going to the right, back to the left across field. This was new to the league. I remember because my high school football team went to zone blocking back then during this time and our running backs were always doing the same thing. I love how Terrell carries himself as well, great guy!

Think John Elway had contract restrucerd so the Broncos could draft players like Davis, with him, Elway finally seemed to have a strong ball carrier, so he didnt have to scramble as much

don't get me wrong Terrell Davis was a great rb but for me I don't think he should be in HOF to me a HOF player needs more than 3 very good seasons, pretty much that what Terrell Davis have 3 very good seasons that is it. and I think he only have like 7600 total rushing yards. to me that not HOF stats. nothing against Terrell Davis I just don't agree with it.
