As if they're not going to immediately present _your_ name to a national database that can reveal private and potentially embarrassing information about you, whilst you have no such access to a database that can reveal information about them. As if they're not immediately going to use their interaction with you to enter _new_ intelligence about you, which quite obviously would be 100% biased toward their own interpretation of the interaction and which you would have no power to influence or subsequently remove. As if said "intelligence" would not then be used, and _potentially_ abused, by some future officer you encounter who persuades you to give them your name because they gave you theirs.

Hi Richard Kinghorn, while I agree that this poor man is demonstrating a very bad attitude but he does not enjoy the same freedom as members of the public, firstly filming is part of his job and has to comply with data protection rules, which include the demand that the subject be informed of the intent to film before switching it on and offering access to the footage if desired, these do not apply to ordinary citizens, furthermore while police officers are required to be gentle and persuasive with members of the public except when trying to arrest an aggressive or violent offender ordinary members of the public can be as rude and unpleasant as they choose, police officers have not lawful right to expect kindness and consideration, especially when they are behaving badly. "Suspicious" should always be followed of what offense, or crime. Just "suspicious" by itself means nothing. One would think these cops would have been trained on public photography by now. One would be wrong. It seems there are several more years of your channel ahead of us!
@Unglandshire2 жыл бұрын
Suspicion by a probationary Police Officer being trained by his Sgt led them to arrest the Yorkshire Ripper there ending his reign of terror and murder, suspicion does not need an offence hence why it is titled so, oh and offense is actually spelt offence.

Opposite of Suspicious is Innocent, Police use words & ask questions so you'll trip yourself up, in some suspicious way also, because you said. When the questions start they're usually talking to the camera & forming a case around suspicious suspiciously, and having no reason for being being so, just ignore and play dumb 🙄 see where it goes, use those legalese back at them, win, gloat & think of a good way to spend that money in the local community 😉

This exact interaction is a microcosm of the problem with British Police today. If he would have approached in a nice manner (like other officers have with you, in other videos) there would be no problem. He came over as you were in the wrong, when it was indeed the police who were in the wrong again. This isn't just a problem with the constabulary, but the entire public sector in Britain, they like to think they are correct & helping society, but they are a hinderance & causing more damage. Not just to themselves but the wider public & this in turn damages public relationship beyond repair. Cheers AB, Keep knocking them for 6!
@chriscurtain18162 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I have had MANY interactions with 20 or so different public sector organisations on both a national and local level. Apart from a few notable exceptions, I have to agree the public sector in general shows a depressing lack of organisation, common sense, customer service and accountability. I once asked my children's school for next year's term dates. The secretary proceeded to argue with me that I should already have this information as it was in a previous newsletter sent to all parents. The conversation went back and forth for several minutes with her determination not to help me. She could simply have read out what was staring her in the face sellotaped to the wall just to the side of the slidey glass window that all school secretaries seem to have. Just one small example, but I could list dozens of others showing the same attitude that goes through the entire public sector like a stick of rock.

AB is an absolute idiot whose one goal in life is to cause trouble. Has he got a job? I again say bring in ID cards and his arguments are finished, also there needs to be byelaw banning photography’s around sensitive areas like is common in many countries. It is nut cases like this guy that causes laws like ID to be introduced.

They do, they just want to be the only group that is allowed to record images of others.

That's what I keep wondering! But, this particular tyrant strikes me as the type who tells his cop friends in the locker room: "I'm not afraid of those damned auditors. You'll see - I can't wait until I come across one of those AB Auditors or whatever they call themselves. I know how to handle them!" So he did, and here we are!

If this one had watched any auditing videos he’d have done a search under the terrorism act. A malicious search.

@@marcovargas4483, that is pretty well what happened when that young Welsh auditor was arrested and the blue klux klan didn't realise that it was all being recorded. He had a long chat about how he had been told to ignore auditors but was quite happy to ignore that advice, and then had a few harsh words to say about his bosses.

These modern day officers seem to believe that they should receive instant respect because of their uniform ,respect has to be earned .This officer just showed self importance and that he was above in stature to any other member of the public and his approach gave off that demeanor ,terrible .
@wolvoman12 жыл бұрын
From the moment they drove towards you they must have thought to themselves, he's not doing anything wrong, so we will stop and try to intimidate and get his details but it FAILED. You dont need 'a legitimate reason' (3.45) to take video/photographs, as sgt 8011 states that you do. His attitude is unprofessional, ''i'm not required to do anything'' when he was asked to ID ''ive offered you my name i dont have to give you anything'' attitude, attitude, ''you clearly dont like the police'', his opinions are causing his lack of professionalism, its because of police like you that causes the dislike Suspicious is his opinion without evidence of a wrong doing. He makes assumption ''you clearly dont like the police'' WHY did he say that ?

If you don't get on your hands and knees and lick their boots, you have a problem with the police. They really think they are true heroes who are justified in everything they do.

“I don’t think you SHOULD”! And that’s the problem, rozzers shouldn’t have an opinion, their thoughts on what should and shouldn’t be are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what’s unlawful, that’s it.

He is just another human being...in a uniform. A very, very aggressive one. Another police officer who thinks that because he personally doesn't like something, that makes it against the law! He has no right at all to accost someone carrying out a perfectly legal activity. Stick to what is illegal police. Leave innocents alone. Your personal likes and dislikes are irrelevant.
@gdr385152 жыл бұрын
"What you doing mate? Shut that thing off please?" The lack of manners is appalling. The officer should stick to addressing members of the public as "Sir," and should not initiate the interaction by telling someone to desist from conducting a perfectly legal activity.
