Hey, it's Jackie Wyers & welcome back for a timeless bridal look! AUDREY HEPBURN "FUNNY FACE" MAKEUP plus a life update: why I didn't have a wedding & what's been going on.
In short, my previous management sponsored a visa for me to work in the US, withheld my income and pushed me to continue to work and take on too many sponsorships (essentially tanking my viewership and consistency) while continuing to keep 100% of my earnings in a global pandemic. Hence no wedding, moving out of nyc, not being able to put the time and effort into the job I love - it was all a lot emotionally and financially. I'm very hurt by this situation and the family run business has not been held responsible. I stayed silent giving the family grace, hoping they would do what is right and pay back the creators they took advantage of but I have been ignored and can't have this weighing on me any longer. I hope this explains what has been going on as it does directly affect this channel and my well being!
I'm so sorry if you felt like my content was too heavily sponsored for a while - I love the brands I chose to work with but it was too frequent and not what I wanted to be doing! (the brands paid and are not at fault, the manager did not forward my payment and would tell me the brands had not paid because of the pandemic.) I have not recovered from all of this, but am doing better and have a trustworthy manager now who DOESN'T make my life hell :) love you Isabella!

Oh, Jackie, I'm so sorry! I have been following you for... Gosh, 10 years now? I never would have guessed! I really admire the courage it takes to speak up when bad things like this happen. I can't imagine what that situation was like. I'm so glad you are doing better now and have new management, and that it seems like you have a good support system, with your family and your husband. I hope that you can make the type of content you want again, and that life improves for you. Perhaps it is just because I have followed you so long, but I never felt that your content was overly sponsored/always trusted that you stood by the brands you partnered with, but I am so sorry about the situation that lead to that/that you never got paid! You worked for it yet they don't want to pay you plus, they kept pushing you to do sketchy sponsorships that can ultimately damage your brand and years of hard work :(( Please take legal actions against them, you are so talented and creative, you always produce quality content hence, many people subscribe to your channel when they come across it, you deserve a better team that actually prioritizes you and will do their best to support your career. Don't be scared to advocate for yourself, you have been very gracious with them and considerate of the history of your business relationship with them.

Hey Jackie, never have I commented on a youtube video but I've been watching you since I was 14 (I'm 22 now!!) and your videos relax me, inspire me, and make me smile. Thank you for being open. That's awful. I knew post-ish pandemic there was going to be more domino affects happening to people. I’m so sorry that your manager took advantage of you and that you had to keep working for them basically without being paid. I signed a contract and everything and then they never once reached out to me ever again. I remember even talking on the phone with the CEO. Such an odd situation! I'll never forget literally being on the phone with like the head guy and him being like "so sorry Katie for hopping on the call late but just had to deal with a very upset KZfaqr/Client of ours" and that should have been my first red flag. But I still signed the contract because they promised to help me so much. Yet I never once heard from them again. I guess I dodged a bullet!

Wow. I used to be under the same management. I ended up parting ways a few years back due to direct pressure (including legal) from Rene to move forward with some business decisions I wasn't comfortable with. I'm so sorry this happened to you and the other women represented by them. Rene + beaufresh need to be held accountable.

So many bad employers out there! I'm glad you've found a good one now. My personal rule is if someone doesn't pay you one time, cut your losses and run, because once they start that shiz you'll never get to where you should be with the money, they'll always owe you something and the amount owed will get bigger and bigger over time. Seen bad employers do it to people so many times. So difficult for you going through that in a pandemic with everything locked down. Glad you're out of the situation finally. Thank you💞 glad you liked the tutorial! I so agree. I wanted to leave in 2019 but renewed my visa and was stuck in the states through the pandemic, only able to work for them as they were my sponsor. It's a bit tricky when you work in a country you are not a citizen of. I VERY MUCH wish I left earlier but didn't feel I had any options to at the time.

Don't feel bad for falling for it. You were targeted, for your honesty, sincerity and integrity. They know you don't think like them and won't see it coming. These people are scum. If you need to, get counselling to process your anger so it doesn't stay with you for years. Betrayal hurts. I'll keep you in my prayers 💗

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm familiar with this family and their daughter's KZfaq channel, it's interesting to see how their daughter was constantly travelling and flaunting her wealth while others were in lockdown AND while her family was involved in stealing from a group of young girls. It's definitely not a good look and shows a lack of morals across the board. I'm sorry to hear that you are still dealing with this, it must be tough. Karma will come.

I'm sorry you went through that! It must have been really upsetting to be so overworked and not getting paid, plus the disappointment for being betrayed by someone you trusted, that must have been really depressing... Really glad you're moving forward with a good manager now. You could probably take legal action, although admittedly that would problably add to your stress during the process... Whatever makes you feel more at peace is probably the right thing to do. Really nice for you to speak out, so other youtubers are more alert to those kinds of situations. It's never occurred to me... it's really sad that there are people out there who have no qualms of conscience exploiting others. Btw love the look, timeless and classic ❤️

Oh my sweet Jackie. As your friend and former coach this hurts my heart but your grace talent and beauty I know you have and will continue to overcome. I remember you were so excited to work with this guy and I can't believe after all the work you have done with stellar work he did this to you. I was just saying to a client we all have to be so careful because these people who are wolf in sheeps clothing is so slick in this industry. Everyone is worshipping money and will literally sell out their "daughter" for it. But I am always proud of you and so happy you got married and moving on from the nightmare. That is great you are telling the younger ones to watch out for this and its a good message to keep moving forward. Dear Jackie, i know your not gonna read this comment but im still writing it for you , To be honest youve been my idol for quite a long time .I remember back in 2017 i was looking for some inspirational makeup tutorial and thats when i found your channel and learned some tips and tricks on how to do makeup on myself . I still remember the day when you posted in ig saying that you and tylor are engaged i was so excited that i wrote 2 comments but you didnt react but than i deleted those 2 comments and wrote a proper well wish for your new life and guess what ??? YOU liked my comment and i was so happy at that moment that you read the words i wrote for you . but i always wondered why you never posted anything about your wedding i thought you did had a ceremony and kept it privet but little did i know that you were going through so much watching your videos every week made me think you happy when in reality you werent . I have talked to lawyers over the last year and it's expensive and exhausting. I felt like the more time I focused on legal, the less time I could put into my career and it was really affecting my overall well being. The company isn't active and was threatening bankruptcy so if we go after them legally we could be left with even less. I hope some of the other girls tell their stories or do get justice legally because some of the ways he impacted our lives has had devastating consequences for all of us.
