Oh, Krystal, I do understand your grief. My husband passed about the same time yours did, and I'm still raw too. The anniversaries of certain things are so hard and make me miss him as if it happened yesterday. My plants definitely show where I am emotionally as well! But, they're resilient (for the most part😉) and remind me that life does go on. Be good to yourself and know that there are those of us out here that understand and care. ❤

I’m so sorry for the loss of your honey as well 🫂 as you know, it doesn’t get easier but the grief just sits differently and on some days where you think you have it all together, It comes and smacks you down but baby steps on those days especially. Thank you so much for being here.

I understand your grief also. I lost my fiance 3 years ago in January. He had a natural green thumb. Me I use to kill cactus. Trying to keep his couple plants alive became my therapy. My therapy collection grew... a lot. My daughter is 11 and gives me crap about my plants. I tell her mommy can collect wine bottles or plants 😅

Thank you for sharing your personal grief, as a cancer survivor I know how precious life and loved ones are, and all I can say is that it will get easier with time and plants do help. I got my first plant a year ago, after losing a beloved pet and it filled the spot where the empty dish was. Now I have 50 and counting, and you are my plant guru! I watch your videos every day for inspiration. Your humour, knowledge and sense of fun make this a truly rewarding hobby/ wallet drainer/ addiction/way of life!! And my current favourite is my almost-ready- to- bloom Thanksgiving cactus, which I put in a cupboard like you said. Woo hoo! Keep the videos coming, big hugs to you and thanks so much from Canada!❤😊🌱🌵

Krystal, my heart is with you and I understand your grief. Plants have been my refuge after having lost my grandson in April 2021. For me it has helped me to realize that, as much as our circumstances have changed, life... it goes on. I get to pour out all the love I felt, and feel for him, on my plants. Otherwise, I would be crushing others, with the depth of my loss. So, here's to dealing with 'the things' and remaining strong. God Bless and take good care❤

I truly cannot say I know your pain. Though I’ve lost loved ones - a husband is so different. I am so sorry for your loss. Plant therapy is real! I suffer from depression and as I get older, it gets harder. The plants are a real awareness for me: health/sickness; good days/bad days; life/death and even rebirth. But for the most part just looking at them brings me joy, that joy overtakes my depression and I can move forward. I think another thing is not having any children, the plants make me feel responsible and that I have something that relies on me to make it through. Why should they suffer just because I’m having a bad day? I take it day by day - and enjoy every sprout of new growth (life). I believe Another reason why propagating seems so important is I enjoy stories of people that have deceased loved one’s plants or a cutting - life will always continue on as will the beautiful memories. ❤ God bless you!

I love your plants and the stories that go with them. I feel like my brain activated its muscle memory because I am now very much into plants and have had good luck with them. I used to help my dad prune, water, and care for his garden. I thought none of it stuck... until lately. He passed two years ago, and I feel comforted while I'm gardening. I have a tiny porch, but I have filled it with plants that fit. Someday I hope to have a big enough space to plant rosebushes. Those were my dad's favorites. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and life with us. Hugs from San Pedro, California.

Bless you. I became obsessed with plants this past March. I've been going through many issues and the plants have renewed a big part of my spirit. You've been such an inspiration for me. It's so weird I feel like we are friends😂. Our personalities are very much alike. Something I did abt a month ago was to turn my entry way table in to a prayer table. I have all of my prayer plants on there. Not only are they stunning, they really do remind me that God has got me. I wish I could post a picture in the comments but I don't know if you can lol. Thank you for being a blessing. I'm truly sorry for the loss of your husband.

Thank you Krystal for sharing your beautiful travel and the last story. Which made me cry. You still have a piece of him. He is always with you and will be 4ever. Okay, I have been dealing with some severe pain and it has been really hard to physically and mentally to take care of myself. So my green babies have suffered. But my favorites are Pothos, especially my green w/white stripes, I had to cut it up and what I was able to save, I am rooting in water.🤞🏽In Dec, I found my baby Philodendron Selloum(hope), but I think it has some root rot but bc of my condition I can't move it due to its weight. So if yall can pray for me and it that I can get to it before its gone. I bought the perlite, Growing soil, and another pot(same size pot) oh and new shears. I hope to get my medical results and pray for no surgery. Thank you Love you all. Thank you Krystal for sharing ❤️

Very sorry for your loss Krystal, new follower here! I clicked on one of your videos about a month ago and have been hooked trying to get caught up on all of them ever since. I just recently discovered my love for plants and your videos have helped me tremendously. I love your personality and wish you nothing but comfort and happiness on your journey. Like you i have a plant that i have held near and dear to my heart for almost 8 years now. It is a Peace Lily, my grandmother gave it to me when i got my first place of my own. It was a plant from my aunts funeral (one of the last living ones) me and my aunt were very close and she was a second mother to me. I have seen this plant die down to 1 leaf and come back so many times. I just moved into a new home 7 months ago and this lily finally started thriving and im over the moon about it! i havent gotten any flowers yet (this is my goal) but i have hope! I have recently been inspired by your collection of plants to try my luck with Monstera plants! i ordered a mini monstera and a thai constellation that im patiently waiting to arrive :) I hope that as time goes by you feel less sad about your loss and start to remember happy times and remember that a part of him will always be with you in your heart. Its never easy losing someone you love, dont be too hard on yourself and dont bottle the feelings up you are human and you are allowed to grieve however you see fit! stay strong and keep doing what youre doing! you have a community here who supports you and want to see the best for you

Krystal, Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful plants and your raw emotions. I completely understand your pain. I am going through the slow, painful process of watching my husband head towards death with Alzheimer's. My plants are a comfort and distraction from the stress. My favorite is my Plumeria Brea that I purchased recently. Some of the best times my husband and I have had were in Hawaii. I was absolutely devastated over the tragedy in Lahaina. A little while ago one of the ladies in a Facebook plant group I'm in posted that she had a few for sale. My husband’s birthday is this weekend so it felt like a divine gift. Hugs, Sherrii

Taking a bit of Latin for my uni horticulture course, I wish I didn't, but its very useful as 'beefs' or even cactus is a very general name where as binomial Latin names are unique to each plant species, variation, cultivar, or hybrid. Its also easier then it seems just think very very very old English, don't ever be intimidated by your passion! even the hard scientific bits

I’m so sorry. You are just a delight. I enjoy watching everything you make. I’ve learned oh so much from you. I became a plant mom after my mom passed, in January. She loved plants when I was growing up. And of course you get plants when people pass. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 peace Lillie’s rotted right down the middle. They were the big ones! But they help me cope. They are good mentally I have found, and they give me a reason to keep going everyday. I know they depend on me. I am a little obsessed! But I’m loving every minute of it. Thank you for being your beautiful wonderful self. And thank you for putting yourself and your feelings out there for people to connect with. 🪴💚🌱🌿😉

My birthday was in September and my boss gifted me an agleoma (sp?) plant. Very different from I am used to as all of my plants are just variations of green. Last year she got me a monstera that I love so much and is thriving in my living room window. Love your videos. #tfs

It's nice that you chose to share that part of your life. Thank you. My mum passed away 2 years ago now, and I have her orchid that never blooms. It's about 10 years old. And I made a stupid choice that killed off all its leaves, I'm very new to orchids. And I've nursed it back to brand new beautiful leaves and green roots! The plant really gave me a beautiful connection and distraction.

Thank you for being willing to share your grief, I know so many people that can understand and can relate. I lost a beloved pet of mine around this time last year and it was a miserable month of watching her slow decline. I've been really traumatized and grief stricken since and talking about it is still hard. I started watching you on Tik Tok not long after she passed, and just fell in love with your energy and plants! I went from having no plants, to having 2 rooms in my house full of them! They've been one of the only things bringing me joy since losing her, along with your channel and many others I've found since getting into plants(thanks to you!)! My heart goes out to you, much love and support from Utah
