I probably should have allowed an additional $50 for this months grocery haul due to needing quite a bit of additional items (Connors lunch items, lunch organizers and toiletry items)

I LOVE monthly meal planning!! It saves me so much time and stress throughout the month! How long have you planned a month at a time? Just curios because I totally geek out over it 🤓 and what was the hardest thing for you when it came to starting to plan a month at a time? 💜 loved the video!

Thats exactly what I told the checker at walmart, she was surprised with all the food and I told her how great it was to not have to do this again for an entire month, she thought it was great, ha! I think this is my 5th time doing the monthly haul and its so nice not having to go back to the store every weekend. I think the hardest part is just trying to figure out our schedule and who is going to be where on certain nights, and what meals I can create that will work well for those evenings :-)

I can't do a month at a time meal plan because things change too frequently for my family. I can do 1 week at a time, but I need to have flexibility throughout the week even with planning only 1 week at a time. Great job!! TFS!!

I love seeing your monthly grocery hauls and I am always so impressed with how you plan and shop each month! I've never tried to do a monthly shop but I'm so tempted to try it just to see if I can do it! How long does it take you to plan for a monthly shopping trip, do you stay strictly to your shopping list or do you give yourself some wiggle room for those "just in case" days during the month?

What a huge haul! Are you still aiming for an empty pantry and fridge at the end of the month? It makes sense but we seem to never get there and sometimes there's waste, which I hate. Can you explain how you do it? Sounds silly but I feel like I'm always going to the store for a few things and stuffing them into the fridge/pantry.

Great video! I wish I could do this! But with three growing boys, omg!!! It's impossible! I try and plan 10 days and get everything I need for that in one trip, which I think is good for us :) I tend to spend less this way and less food goes to waste, especially buying fresh fruits and veggies!

The menu is a little naughty this month.... burgers, chicken wings, philly cheese steaks, haha. I finally was like "I have to put a salad somewhere on this menu!!" haha

Have you ever tried making cheeseburger fry pies? They are so good, my family loves them and they are so easy to make and a little goes a long way!

i noticed there is only 1 item per day. do you eat the same thing for bfast, lunch and dinner? or u eat leftovers from the previous day for bfast or lunch? just curious. thanks

I take my hat off to you, I find it hard enough to pick a week full of meal ideas never mind a months. Do you shop Costco for your bulk items ??

The nearest Costco is about 45 minutes from me, so a little far. I wish we had one closer because I would definitely check it out! Thanks for watching friend!!

Are these just dinner grocery hauls? What about breakfast/lunch? And also are you constantly going back for fruit, veggies, bread, milk, etc?

Yes, the meal plan is only for dinner. I dont meal plan for breakfast or lunch since no one is home during those hours to eat. I do buy stuff for those meals and everyone just eats what they want. Omgosh, I hadn't heard of this, so I checked it out, and it's available in my area. I can imagine this being amazing because you're only ordering (hopefully) what you need instead of being suckered into everything at the store. I've got to give it a try! Thanks!!!

+Michele Nicole yes! I also like it because it gives you a running total so you can make sure you're within your budget and it also saves your favorites so you can easily scroll through and select your items faster!

Loved the video, you seem organised and it's kind of inspiring, but I have a question. Do people usually buy so many groceries? We're a family of 3 as well but only spend $40-$50/month. I thought that was what most people do? Anyone cares to answer?

its weird to me that you dont space what kind of food your gonna have like for one Mexican three times a week is a lot (tacos burritos and enchiladas)

Catherine Geer the only dish out of those three you mentioned that is Mexican flavored is the enchiladas. The breakfast tacos is made with egg and bacon, the the cheeseburger burritos (that we didn't even make that week) are supposed to be made with the same stuff you'd make a cheeseburger with. So those three dishes are really nothing alike.

I seem to spend more when I two week grocery haul so I am back to one week hauls....while you got a lot I just think you could of got a better deal somewhere else...not a huge amount for 500 and I am almost positive you have to go back during the month for milk, bread and fresh fruits and veggies...not being a debbie downer just don't think walmart is the best for a total grocery haul..

This month I think I'll need very little when I do go back to the store (I always have to pick up fresh milk, produce and bread) but this trip was also more because of all the toiletry items I had to get, we were pretty low/out on basically everything. Next month I wont have to get anything (maybe toilet paper) so the bill will obviously be a lot less. The only store I can think that would be less expensive is ALDI, which I continue to want to do a shopping haul there for the entire month. I may challenge myself to do that soon! +amom2my3kids72 the way we do it is shop at a small local chain grocery store and ALDI then pick up the few things that are truly cheaper at Walmart.
