I came here to check out a battery powered chainsaw and witnessed the most incredible "difficult" tree removal I've ever seen. That was seriously impressive.

August, It's been amazing to watch how much you've grown and all the hard earned wisdom that you've shared. I attribute my own company and the success that it has had largely to the hard lessons I didn't have to learn through watching your videos. Your content for years now has taught me things that I will carry with me the rest of my life, man. You truly are the Jerry Beranek of your time.

“See those ants… They’ll be marching right up to my neck…” 😳🤣 Good to see you using the 540i August! Merle was an early adopter. I think it’s been nearly 2 years? He raves about that saw and so do his customers. I’d say the bulk of his work is trimming and less takedowns so for him it’s a game changer. Your battery idea on the harness looks ideal! It’s been a while since I’ve watched a video… as always I’ve learned and have been entertained. 👏🏻 All the best to you and the crew.❤️

18:32 Perfect example for how to rope negative rigging. Isn't on the brakes off the bat, and waits till the log has rolled to 45 degree ish downward angle, then gradually applies the brakes. Absolutely beautiful. If my understanding of the rope manipulation is off, please correct me. As a climber I do appreciate the occasional ride or 2, however I generally like things to go as smooth as possible, and this seems like a perfect clip to illustrate how to do it.

All of your videos are edited and paced extremely well, but this edit is next level. Even though the title describes the scenario, a story or man, method, machine vs. the fate and future of a trouble tree drama naturally unfolds. Informative, calculatedly intense (due to the inherent nature of the occupation) and seamlessly entertaining.

@@AugustHunicke It was done with good intention just to add to the metric that KZfaq uses for activity. My first electric chainsaw days were with the 12 volt lead acid anchor batteries. Mostly all with a number 10 and number 8 gage home made extension cords. I did try a portable smaller battery to wear but the motor drainages was to great for the smaller lead acid battery. I do have a beautiful 110 volt big electric antique chainsaw wit a big bold brass name plate and large thumb operated chain oil pump that I hope I can find a collector to own one day. Because of my experience with the 12 volt chainsaw as a kid I became a great user of 110 volt chainsaws when I could find a good one. The electric extension cord never bothered me.

Great demo! I'm guessing that this is just the beginning of the battery revolution, and much lighter saws will be around the corner. The local dealer tells me these are back ordered until August. The numbers show it is still more heavy and more bulky than the echo 2511T, because you need to add the weight of the battery you are using to the published weight for the saw alone. There's also the sticker shock of how much it costs; almost double a normal saw when you add charger and batteries.
