After having zapped little Jonathan into twins, Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne) must try and get a hold of at least one of them to reverse the spell and the only way to do that is to remember the same spell she used 10 years earlier.
From Season 3 Episode 4 'Accidental Twins' - Aunt Clara accidentally duplicates the Tate's son Jonathan.

The de-aging moment is always funny to me..if possible, with providing a better memory, why wouldn't she remain 10 years younger?..Heck, go for 20-40 years younger...😅

Tia Clara: simply one of the best characters on the show. (With the death of the actress, they tried to replace her with the character Esmeralda, but Esmeralda was unable to embody the charisma that Aunt Clara had)

Irene Vernon played the first Louise Tate. Kasey Rogers was the second Louise Tate.

Me too. The first actress was fine, but I thought Kasey Rogers was funnier. And she looked better with red hair. I'm glad they let her ditch the wig.

They had 3 red heads on Bewitched. Endora, the second Mrs. Kravitz, and also the second Louise Tate. If anyone who should of been a red head is Samantha. Back in old Salem women with red hair was suspected of being a witch. It does seem in the first season when in black and white but in some episodes were colorized, it looked Samantha’s hair was a strawberry blond. Either way, she was a very attractive pretty woman. And aunt Clara, she too had red hair.

When I was young and I saw this episode, I have to admit it freaked me out a little that Clara just made the second Jonathan disappear from existence. 🙂

The series had a permanent solution thenceforth for Clara's memory lapses by de-aging her whenever she couldn't remember a spell and its counter-spell. Outside of losing a plot point and Marion Lorne's eventual passing, I wonder why it was not used again. It may be just that Clara's memory lapses didn't really begin to be troublesome until ten years prior or so. De-aging might have constraints that other powers do not, and one constraint would be, in this scenario, how long the spell lasts. That would not explain why Endora was able to de-age herself to a child in one of the Hallowe'en episodes and to de-age herself to Samantha's age and alter her looks to Samantha's in an early shopping episode.
