The kids are soo sweet with you Auntie no wonder you miss them soo much whenever they're not with you. Qalbi is extra adorable, sweet and gentle with you. Auntie Christine, do you bring your fone with you when you go to the market? Perhaps you can show a photo of the cassava rootcrops or use google translate. It's just funny coz none of the locals know what you were looking for coz its so common in the Philippines. Actually in tagalog its called "camote kahoy" 😊🍠

Moringa leaves we call it malungay leaves. Its the most nutritious leaves in the Philippines. We can add it to Chicken tinola and also boiled mongo beans. Thanks to those who said this veggies to you.

Auntie, cassava is kamoteng kahoy in our language. It is hard to find it noawadays, it is not in season. I found a few this morning and bought 1 piece but not a good quality. It is hard even after boiling it a while.

We actually grow more of sweet potatos and cassava because they are one of our staple foods in Africa.we Do have alot and of different varieties

Mention to the market vendors about cassava cake. It's made from cassava root crop similar to camote as a root crop. 😄. Boiled camote is also delicious.
