This Cake was made with Love for my Grandma on her 90th birthday, but would be perfect for a spring wedding cake! For a shorter version of the Spring flower cake here: • Spring Flower wedding ...
It includes stacking and filling, as well as covering the cake in fondant and airbrushing a pearl luster.
After which, I included a good amount of piping and a little floral arrangement at the end made with sculpted sugar flowers (Gumpaste). (Sorry, I don't show how I made the flowers.)

Great work! Professional decorator and cake artist here....I can't believe some of the judgemental and rude comments on here! People truly do not realize how much work goes into making a cake...ANY cake, but especially a wedding cake! Sadly, I quit making cakes years ago...for a few reasons. But the main one was never getting paid what I was worth... or being appreciated. ( I did it out of my home, so no professional kitchen)..unless I could find affordable commercial space, on occasion. I have made hundreds of cakes in my time...I do still miss it a bit! I still have all of my equipment. But doubt I will go back to it sadly. 😉

Thank you! Love hearing from Professionals! Some comments are, and I'm sure they don't understand. I work from my home kitchen too!! I gave up pottery a few years back, hoping someday I may return..still have most of that equipment too! I don't mind negative criticism, but, as you mentioned, they really don't need to be judgmental and rude. WAY more positive comments though. Thank you for your Thoughts Brenda. It is a beautiful cake. The artistry is wonderful it didn't need all the flowers. The flowers made it too busy. The elegance of the cake decor spoke volumes on its own. There are times when less is more.

Hi Rosie, in most cases, I would agree with you about the flowers :) This cake, however, was a gift to my Grandmother on her 90th Birthday! She LOVES flowers!! I made almost an entire tier of flowers for her, and, to my surprise, she STILL has them Ha! She say's she's going to keep them 'till she dies. Thank you for your comment!

I paid top dollar for my wedding cake for a small 50 person black tie wedding. I had more compliments on that cake cake than I could ever imagine. It was incredible and I’m thankful for the baker who made it.

@@auntiescakery yes they are, plus it takes a lot longer, so you have to have twice as much patience as you do with the big ones. Lately I've been seeing cakes with really big rose on the top. Seems like it was just a hurry up and get it done, without care how it taste like.

This here it looks so easy but it is not it takes a special talent to be able to do a cake of this magnitude is beautiful. I love today and I love to make cakes I mean I'm just old-fashioned old school from the deep South I could never do a cake of this volume never in my life can I ever wish I could I'm a bit jealous of this and I have to admit.
