@@rssid1280 Veer ji, can you please point to the very minute of the video where I actually called the ninth Guru a "thief". Perhaps you have misconstrued the word rebel for thief. A rebel is not a thief. Rebellions can be caused by valid grievances. No historian, Sikh or otherwise, disputes the fact that the last two Sikh Gurus (and their later followers) had launched devastating rebellions against the Mughal state. The Mughals fought back with ferocity. Many Mughals as well as Sikh leaders were killed. Hundreds of thousands of innocent peasants suffered as a result. These rebellions were very bloody and often constituted destruction and pillaging. Burning and pillaging was used as a weapon of war, as was the case with most conflicts at the time. Banda Singh had followed the same method. This only escalated the decline of the Mughal Empire and the consequence was the rise of the East India Company. Aurangzeb did not kill anyone personally, his governors and soldiers did. He probably didn't even know what was going on in the Punjab, as he was too busy fighting wars in the south. Please do read his history more carefully. As for the sources, I strongly recommend two sources for you to understand the dynamics of the time: - The Darbar of the Sikh Gurus by Louis E. Fenech. - When Sparrows Became Hawks by Purnima Dhavan. Both of these works will give you enough insight into the Sikh sources and the activities of the gurus. There is no offense intended towards the gurus in this lecture. This was a plain telling of history as I understand it. You are very welcome to disagree with me. Best wishes and Rabb Raakha... :)

I'm Indonesian, I went to Delhi about 5 years ago with a very little knowledge about Indian history, or should I say almost none. I was awestruck by the beauty of the Red Fort, Qutab Minar and Jama' Masjid, I thought India has always been a Hindu country! Since then, Indian history became one of my favorite topic. I watched many of your lectures and read the books that you recommend. Please continue to do what you're doing, because more muslims need to be educated about our golden past. Oh, and after we go through this covid issue, I hope I can visit Lahore one day and see Badshahi Masjid with my own eyes...

Just like Saladin, Aurangzeb was one of the greatest emperors in history. He fully established Sharia and India become the world's largest economy, worth 25% of world GDP. When he died, just like Saladin, left nothing but 300 rupees. May Allah grant them Jannatul Ferdouse.

What Sikhs know about their 9th guru Guru Tegh Bahadur ji is from what the 10th guru Guru Gobind Singh ji (his own son) wrote about in his own bani. Reas bachitar natak written by 10th guru himself or Sri guru sobha written by the gurus court poet dated 1708 (partly during the gurus life and completed shortly after). Alot more contemporary than your hadiths lol and more reliable as it was written by our gurus themselves!! Please dont apply your hadith traditions to our itihaas as they dont compare in the slightest as its like chinese whispers vs an autobiography (bachitar natak written by the guru about the gurus own life)

Hi Adnan. In regards to our Guru Teg Bahadur ji - Guru Teg Bahadur ji is Guru Granth Sahib Ji. All our Guru’s are. Before you put a blame on our Guru you must study our Guru Granth Sahib ji. This is our root and chain writing from Guru Nanak Dev Ji till the Tenth guru Gobind Singh ji and became Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Our Gurus lives a pious and pure life and never did anything for sake of booty or land. I am sorry you won’t understand this until you fully understand the mind set of our Guru Granth Sahib Ji. I promise you will never point a finger at our Guru in the wrong way ever. If you really want to know our Guru then you must know Guru Granth Sahib Ji the word of Waheguru Ji. With all due respect. How compassionate are Gurus were or is still.. teaching of Guru’s or way of life is absolutely incredible in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The teachings of Guru is beyond measure and how it attaches us to the one and the love of God(Allah, Waheguru, Rab, Ram (not Hindu Ram), Madho, plus hundreds of names give to the One lord. Please don’t let your ego be in control of your thinking. Be very careful as your mind will play tricks to please your EGO. One of the five evils explained by our Guru. Anyhow please show respect to Gurus. Please study Sikh history. A normal humans can make mistake but the Guru never. I know it will be hard for you to grasp this but maybe one day you will see this through the eyes of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Richard Eaton says in an Interview....."But as I mentioned in my published essay, the tables and maps I presented “by no means give the complete picture of temple desecration after the establishment of Turkish power in upper India.” And I concluded that “we shall never know the precise number of temples desecrated in Indian history.” All we can talk about are instances for which there is contemporary evidence, whether it appears in the archaeological record, in the epigraphic record, or in contemporary chronicles. And even those data must be closely interrogated."I have no doubt that more than 80 temples were desecrated by Muslims, Again, to quote myself, “Undoubtedly some temples were desecrated but the facts in the matter were never recorded, or the facts were recorded but the records themselves no longer survive."

You present history after ascertaining facts from multiple sources but your current reading appears to be from single source. Please get current news corroborated from multiple sources before spreading them. Can you mention how many people were lynched for cow trading? One or two or fifty? You have a right to say what you wish but if you do not keep it rooted in facts your otherwise engaging speeches get compromised.

Your statement of there is no India before Moghuls is wrong. Seeing history of India as a outsider will not do justice to history. The hypocrisy of this man is unbelievable .when it comes to suiting his narrative he goes with general consensus but regarding Aurangzeb who is regarded by most historians and scholars as a tyrant and a mad man he would go against the general consensus ..btw the other king he's talking about called Tipu sultan is no saint either . He probably was a bigger tyrant than Aurangzeb ..I know this bcuz I'm from the state ruled by him and I know what he did to people after invading cities and villages ..another example is Akbar who most historians say was the best of the Mughal in his openess of accepting people from other faith and the fairness he treated his subjects ...but this guy just goes against the narrative ..infact akbar removed the jizya and Aurangzeb reintroduced it ..that alone speaks volumes of who was what ..more over akbar allowed temples to be built and allowed freedom of faith . So we are just going to say that Aurangzeb was a better person and ruler than akbar just bcuz Aurangzeb was pro Islamic ?? What about their actions and deeds?

Now, everyone who is truly interested in history, will ALSO look at non muslim sources and listen to the stories of those oppressed. Same logic applies to Israeli occupation of Palestine. I want to hear from the oppressed, not the oppressor. Also, that Owessi guy is an islamic supremacist. And so to is his brother. Why not call out sunni extremist in pakistan killing sufis and ahmaddiya? Why dont people call this out ? Also, mughuls are not to thank for "unifying" india.. they were just successful at expanding their empire. So again, adnan is giving his islamic bias.

@@emrehassan2308 john f. Richards and Audrey T? With all due respect, though they may be historians, my point still stands. I am certain there is historical literature out there that absolutely demonizes islamic invaders like the mughuls and those before them. Look at the arab islamic invasion in north africa. The narrative by non muslim africans is extemely negative towards muslims as I imagine would be the narrative palestinians have of Israelis. Listening to adnan speak on history of another nation that had been conqueref by islamic empires is silly because he will find ways to dismiss or justify atrocities by islamic empires. Islamic apologists and uneducated muslims love his talks because adnan paints islam and many muslims (as controversial as they may be) as being much better and peaceful then depicted. In india, one of the more talked about and generally seen as more inclusive as a mughul was J.M. Akbar. And adnan, a pakistani islamic supramicist, goes on the say that Akbar was not even muslim. I dont get it, so aruengzab was the only true pious muslim therefore adnan must change the narrative of how evil may have been ?
