Great video. It shows what a terrible job the IT industry has done to protect intellectual property. Other than Kindle DRM, there isn’t a solution for the rest of the world which is easy to use and based on any kind of industry standard. The IT Industry needs to find a solution to stop piracy, not to control distribution rights (which is what we have today).

I have a fillable PDF that I'm looking to start selling, but my fear is that a business similar to mine will go on and buy it (properly), download it (no matter how much protection I put on it) and then just upload it on their site for sale. The tips you have provided (which are brilliant) really only seem to address the ability to download .. but once it's downloaded it seems impossible (to me at least) to stop the file travelling all over the internet. Any tips?

Unfortunately it’s difficult to track. It happens to me and I used to waste time trying to stop it but it’s rare. Truly loyal customers would support you and pay for your work. I’ve learned to just focus on them.

I wouldn't worry too much. People can easily take a screenshot of anything on their screen. There are javascripts and code you could install on your site but again, I wouldn't bother to be honest.

This is great. I tried method #1 and it works great but now my question is how do I give the customer the password after they've purchased from my gumroad store? Is there a place I can put the password for them to see after purchase?

I can't easily follow your pronunciation, so I would like to clear an important query. I want to publish a book online. I need only those who paid the amount, get the password I issue could download. also the same downloaded content, neither he can't transfer to anyone nor it copied by someone else. is it possible..? There is perfect one, DICO (Digital Coating). Screenshot cannot be taken and words cannot be copied also printing cannot be. No installation. all of protection is done in browser. You can also earn money while using that service.

Hi everyone. I just got off the phone with the copyright office and am so confused. I will be selling digital mockups (images for other sellers to use in their shop). I was told I could copyright 750 images in a calendar year for $65. That's great, BUT, I would have to submit all of them at once. The problem with this is, lets say I only have 200 to submit, then I should be able to submit the other 550 images within the calendar year of 2022, right? Wrong, well kind of. I would have to pay the registration fee of $65 each time I submit additional images in that calendar year. That would become very costly because my designs requires updating and adding new trendy designs. Plus, I don't plan on taking 750 photos all at once. This is so disappointing. If anyone knows anything different, please let me know. I will post this to other KZfaq videos and see if anyone can help. This just doesn't make sense to me.
