As a child I felt everything mattered. Things happened. I became jaded and cynical, lost my faith, saw the the world in a very deterministic way, and even began to doubt free will. Nothing mattered and I longed for my life to be over. I'm finally starting to see the magic in our universe again. It really does all matter- even if there are aspects of reality we'll never know- even if it's a simulation! We are all part of an incredible existence. Thank you for creating such genius art. As a french person, I LOVE this song But the Pomme's part makes me think of my stepmother. She passed away 3 weeks ago, and the part where she sings "a birds falls asleep with no sound", really reminds me of her. She's now a bird enjoying a body free of sickness. She's watching her 2 teenage boys from above 🕊️❤️

So if each song is inspired by the women and Goddess of Greek mythology, here is what I think each one is : 1. everything matters - Eos she was a Titaness and the goddess of the dawn, who rose each morning from her home at the edge of the Oceanus . 2. Giving into the love - Aphrodites goddess of love and sexuality. 3. Cure for me - IAOS the goddess of cures , and remedies. 4. You keep me crawling - Eleos goddess of forgiveness, clemency, mercy, and pity. She granted succor (succor -assistance and support in hard times or distress ) to all those who asked for it. This one took me the longest to decide on. This song is about the relationship of people with religion and most people turn to religion in hard times. Even many who aren't religious will pray to God when in a dire situation. Which makes me think of how people prayed to Eleos in hard times. Also the line "if you keep forgiving , if I keep forgiving Maybe I'll believe that you never meant for life to hurt for me" Why do I keep begging like the animal?" could be referencing how people stripped naked and cut off their hair at the alter of Eleos. 5. I exist for love - I have two possibilities . Amphitrite the goddess of the sea . She was the wife of Poseidon, God of the sea. He fell in love watching her dance and sing. It would make sense why Aurora is dancing and singing in a clam shell . The story goes she said no to the proposal at first but sent a dolphin god to convince her and she was convinced and married Poseidon. This could explain the lines "then I learned the truth how everything good in life leads back to you . And when I fall into your arms I exist for love. " Theory two it's about Aphrodite's again . 6. Heathens - Persephone goddess of the underworld .Of course referring to the Goddess of the underworld as a Heathen makes sense. She became Goddess of the underworld when she was stolen from Demeter. Her temporary return to the surface represents her functions as the embodiment of spring and the personification of vegetation and grain. Lyrics that allude to this story specifically are “ She gave her love, her gift of life So we could live with her” giving up her life to stay with Hades, and her love and gift of life is the plants that grow in spring when she returns to earth. Blood in the wine - Athena the Goddess of warfare, wisdom, and handicraft, She was the sister of Ares God of war Athena, who wore armor represented the martial functions include military strategy and generalship Ares embodied the physical valor necessary for success in war, along with sheer brutality and bloodlust, in contrast to his sister. “A thirst for pleasure and war A hunger we keep inside. “You can drink, you can feast There's beauty in your beast” 13. This could be a dream - Brizo - Greek Goddess of the Sea and Dreams. She was known as the protector of mariners, sailors, and fishermen. She was worshiped primarily by the women of Delos, who set out food offerings in small boats. i spent a good hour or two with this on repeat getting a feel for this song and it might be my favorite from the album so far. melodically, instrumentally, and lyrically it is so, so beautiful. all i could think of when i heard "here we are, an atom and a star" is the idea that we are to the universe what an atom is to a star. an infinitesimally small part of a larger whole; a seemingly endless dance of beginnings and endings. countless births and deaths of stars, of galaxies and solar systems, and of life. but, though we are small, we *are.* we are a part of that process just as anything else. alternatively, i could see it interpreted as "here we are, simultaneously both an atom and a star." this was the first line that really jumped out at me, and the rest of this interpretation sorta came from that assessment. in the scale of the universe, life ends as quickly as it begins. we're all so called "love machines" due to the natural instinct of becoming attached to things and people during life, and each life is its own cinematic dream that depicts that love. pure, but also painful when you inevitably realize that your blip of light in the universe will end one day soon; as if it passes by so quickly you feel unable to stop and smell the flowers and appreciate the beauty of it all. but the last line makes peace with that fact, expanded on in the chorus itself, saying that because we are part of the movement (the night into the morning, nonexistence into existence and back again), and a part of the larger whole, everything matters. including us. there are a few references to pain and hurt. life is good, even though there is so much hurt from the loves and losses we endure. each individual life a storm that is always changing, shifting, and evolving over time. "a teacher, a simulated dream / a cure, a cure for the hurt / and the pleasure you feel is real" - there's a quote somewhere that life is the greatest teacher of all. you learn and you grow all throughout your existence, endlessly seeking a cure for the suffering life's lessons bring you, but at the same time the pleasures of life are just as real as the pain. and as far as the french stanza... this is the most beautiful writing i've heard in a long time. we are "plucked" from the matter of the universe and invited into our mornings of consciousness, and then eventually we realize that there are others living existences of their own, unaware of us, but so aware of themselves. and then after our deaths, when we return to the night, our plucked flowers of life will be left elsewhere to ultimately return to where we came from. edit: i just want to say that i'm so pleasantly surprised and overjoyed by the amount of people who resonated with this interpretation. i love each and every one of you. thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ❤

I've struggled for most of my life trying to get over my mom's death and I also am bipolar.. her songs are so visceral and capture the pain of losing someone. Even in songs like this, I still feel a sense of hope, that the universe will always bring life in and out of existence from the same materials. Lyrically, she is the only person I've ever heard capture the beauty of life and death so perfectly. Her music really is my medicine and I am so thankful to have it in our world.

Wow, this is a great song and Aurora started to change the quality of her songs, but anyway, I love her songs and it was smart to combine Aurora and Pomme because both are almost in the same tone. Aurora's songs are the only ones that do not age in the hearts. There is always magic in this throat. When I hear her songs, I feel like I am completely separated from reality and go into a world of Aurora.
