I've never seen nail techs in my area use polygel or forms. They always go for tips and acrylic. Definitely considering these for my next set. It's my birthday month😍

Because this is an Eastern European technique. There tips and acrylic are considered old school and no nail tech ever uses it anymore. In primarily Asian dominated nail salons in the US or Western EU they don't do nails that way.

I’m doing my own nails with acrylic, because i have a severe gel allergy. And i’m starting to be a gel lover because it intriges me how you apply it. It makes me wonder if i could do it. There are so many nice color gels. And the clear gels are so bright, it’s like liquid glas. As wel as the hybrid gels.

I feel the same, love my natural nails and that actually hurt to see. But I guess the customer wanted it that way, and this channel does focus on the artificial nails. But yes, I hear you!

If the client wants longer nails than her natural nails' length then the nail technician needs to do extension. This can be done by 2 ways: 1. Using tips - it's the easiest way but usually doesn't last that long. 2. Sculptuting - we use a form to stick on the finger and build the extension to the natural nail. For this method the natural nail needs to be cut off to be able to put the form on correctly. This way the edge of form will meet with the nail plate perfectly. If we keep the the free edge longer it's very hard to apply the form and also can affect how long will the product last on the nails. In the video you saw the second version of nail extension. So this is the reason she had to cut her client's natural nails.

@@kingabundik-kun2791 I'm a fully qualified nail tech so am very aware how to extend a nail. If a client had natural nails of this length and quality there is no way I would have cut them down. I would have done an overlay for strength and then any design as required.

It's not what you want, it's what the client wants and she says that on the video. You can suggest and give your opinion, but it's not your call.
