"I actually wrote it quite a long time ago, I was quite a little bean back then, I just always felt like this song had quite an imaginative soul. I was a very imaginative child and wrote this song after reading the book The Secret Garden for the first time. When they asked me to make a song for the movie remake, I was so happy and tried to pitch them this old song. It was so meant to be. It was always about finding this magical place in this garden, which can also symbolise shelter. The world can be quite harsh and difficult, especially nowadays. It can feel darker than it is. It's about this magical garden where you’re allowed to grow and nothing is trying to prevent you from just existing and breathing and being healthy." This is a funny one. Aurora's dark humor shines through here. The lovable Aurora, who can't harm a fly, mutates into a serial killer. It's funny and so abstruse. The song came about because Aurora was scared of one of her neighbors in her younger years. And since Aurora has an exuberant imagination, she imagined this woman as a man-murdering psychopath. "In bottles" describes this psychopath a little more from the inside. I put my tears in bottles in case I need them later. That's a line of text from it. Describes the abstinence of conscience and repentance. There are more important things than being worth shedding a tear for one of my victims.

I was there! I am the guy up front with the big plastic flower. What I can tell you is this was a total suprise. This was the smallest stage at Lollapalooza. And I just happened upon her set. I was completely thunderstruck. I've been obsessed ever since. She is absolutely amazing. I think we were all so quiet because we were all in shocck. I have been to 20 Lollas and never been so shook as this performance right here. I have seen her 5 times since and even met her in Chicago after her show at Thalia Hall. She's unreasonably awesome.

A very cool and fun Aurora song. For me, I like it mostly because its fun to imagine Aurora as a serial killer, lol. Sh'e has that uncanny ability to create sounds and melodies that captures the feeling she wants to portray. BUT, to more important stuff... Animal Soul 😄That's one of her best songs and it's unreleased. You'll love it, I promise 😄 NRK P3 version is the best one.

You can try find My Heart is a Storm! It’s an old song she used to perform live but it didn’t make it onto All My Demons. I don’t know if there’s even a studio version but I wish there was because it’s a really catchy song. Another one to watch is the live performance of Awakening from 2014 (in Hamar, Norway). It’s her first tv performance ever! She’s 17 and so nervous, it’s really endearing to see where she started and how much she’s grown.

I have watched the Lollapalooza Chicago concert video a few times and what struck me was that in 2016, she still wasn’t well known at all in the US. So you can see that she slowly wins over the crowd in real time and by the second have of the concert the crowd really opens up to her. I think that “In Boxes” was a bit before that halfway point, so you can see some people in the audience still a bit unsure about it all. Anyway, there are a lot of songs NOT on albums that you can explore, including those already in the comments. I’d also suggest the fantastic duet with fellow Norwegian Sondre Lerche singing “Alone In The Night”, Aurora alone at the piano performing her song “Animal Soul” at the Verftet Online Festival 2020, her singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “Small Town Boy”, and “Dance On The Moon” on the Queersounds Tik-Tok live performance, and also the beautiful video production of her cover of “Scarborough Fair” for the telenovela “Deus Salve o Rei" in 2018. One last suggestion is the whole Somewhere Else Festival 2020 which was recorded live during Covid by NRK. It is another amazing experience and unlike any other concert video. Happy hunting!

She has done a lot of songs not typically on her main albums One of her earliest performances was on live TV in Norway in 2014 I think… a song called Awakening. She was not as lively as she’s grown to be, but still the professionalism was top notch She honored a little girl who had a rare disease who dreamt of being an artist. She died very young. The song was called Sophia… a collaboration with Askjel Another collaboration with him was titled To be Loved She’s collaborated with quite a few folks Another great collaboration was with Sondre Lerche titled Alone in the Night to name a few

Yes, super song for a Halloween reaction. I had not heared it either. There are loads of unreleased Aurora songs - if you search here on YT you get loads of playslist for this, highest number of songs I saw was 63. Also she has told in interviews that when making an album she makes an extra song that is put away for an album after her passing... She is a unique person.

The Lowlands Festival version of In Boxes is much better I would say.

There are also quite a few unreleased songs of hers out there. Puppet (a favorite of mine), which I believe is the first song she ever recorded on her own as a gift to her parents but somehow was released in Norway. Not sure if you have heard "Why Did You Have to Go^ about the loss of a childhood friend. The Sun, which is also the song done by San Holo. A ton more I cannot think of at this hour. Plus she also did the soundtrack for Assassins' Creed anniversary *Hunting Shadows^, Do Not worry, there is plenty of music of hers to enjoy that will take you right up to when her new music is released that she is already hinting at! Somehow missed this reaction. Better late than never 😊. I've watched this concert several times, and count this song as a "fun" one in between all her other great songs. She doesn't make bad ones. I know you already reacted to several versions of "Some Type Of Skin", but recommend on your own time watching the Vevo Live version released a few days ago. Easily the best (and most fun) version in my opinion. Shocked her see she's on the "Bring Me The Horizon" album released today. Not a bad song!
