The story about the murder song (my favorite). Aurora wrote this song after reading about a "murder" in the paper near her homeland. A man killed his wife/girlfriend out of love. She was seriously ill and suffered more every day. He released her from suffering. The song is sung from the perspective of the woman's ghost. Maybe he killed her with her consent (I hope so) or he made the decision on his own. No idea. And this is for me her darkest Song. You will only find this explanation of this song in one interview with her (and no unfortunately I don't have a link for that one particular statement from the tons of interviews she's given. So believe it or not 🙂). It's not written anywhere else. And usually she doesn't explain her songs that specifically either, because she wants everyone to find their own story in them. This way songs stay interesting longer. That's why I also believe that this explanation was just an accident. It was also just a brief side note on a question asked, by the way. She usually only says to the song it is a true tragic love story that doesn't end well. It should be said that this News was an inspiration for this song. That doesn't have to mean that the song itself is about it. But since it all fits together, I think so. Of course, it is written in such a way that many interpretations are possible. Just like Aurora actually always does. I would recommend "I went to far" live at the Honda stage. At the beginning she also says what this song is about and, as always, is very funny.

Cynthia is right. Aurora is better than a lot of the shit being put out now. Aurora is so unique and special. Not too mention, she is a terrific and kind human being. She is very intense and emotional. I love everything about her. I think the song is about a mercy killing, but I think it's about a mercy killing for a spouse that is very ill and couldn't take it anymore. Ok guys, can you check out her live performance of "Through the eyes of a child" at Nidarostomen Cathedral? It is so breathtakingly beautiful. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one. I think it was one of the first things I saw of hers, and it blew me away. There is no one like her. She is so mesmerizing and talented (and yes, a bit weird, but in a good way) She has become my favorite (and I'm 49) Great reaction. Keep them coming. She has many great songs. Another great one to react to is "It happened quiet" live at the Current. Or, if you want something with a soft rock beat, then maybe "Under the water" live on Honda stage. You definitely need to check her out live. She is great live

Please listen to her performance of "It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current)". I already liked her before, but I finally listened to this whole song tonight and I've formed a mini-obsession with watching other people hear it for the first time. Give me another one to watch! There's another performance of this song at "Nidarosdomen", but she doesn't have the back-up harmonizing vocalist (who has a gorgeous voice of her own!) in that one. This is the one to watch. Here's the link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7tdgZl91uDIeYE.html

Her performance of this at the 2015 Nobel peace prize concert is exceptional. She was just 19! I recommend you watch her live performances, not just videos (although they are amazing), especially her concert at Nidarosdomen. She’s one of the few artists I would recommend that you do a bit of research on the inspiration for her songs, knowing ahead of time can make many of them a lot more powerful as you watch and react. One example is The Little Boy in the Grass. Also, two fantastic videos to watch are Queendom and The Seed.

Heard you say you do not research the artist a couple of times now, but please watch a few of the interviews with Aurora on YT (not a reaction, but for yourselfs). She's just wired so different than most others, an old soul with the imagination and innocence of a young child. Funny, unexpected and original, not afraid to be herself, no matter how she is perceived. Just a special person.

She is from Norway to and are just an amazing young singer that gonna be a legendary singer in the future. The song I want you to react to is a cover of the song « i put a spell on you» that she did in black and white video when she was barely 9 years old. There are two interpetations of this song; The official goes whith the theme of a dear friend killing this person with a terminal decease. It could also be interpeted as someone who decides who is worthy to live out of their own belief or agenda. In either way, the victim absolutes them. Either out of love, or personal need..
