I’ve seen AT LEAST 20+ interviews, Aurora doing her own TikTok, and the like, solo commentary/singing…and I’ve come away wanting to find more and more of them. She is THEE MOST engaging, captivating, humorous, interesting, non-apologetic, honest and true herself human being(not just music artist or celebrity) I’ve EVER come across my 50+ years on this planet. She has made me understand my own self, and yes, sad to say…you can be in your later years and still wonder why you’re still a bit awkward or not quite feel the same as majority of people you come into contact with on a daily basis or just for a moment crossing life’s paths. That includes family members too. And, please know…it wasn’t for the lack of trying. Like many others, I long to be accepted and loved deeply(been married/divorced three times and have 6 kids all grown up)…and had just chalked it up to being a Scorpio….moody and, basically, a hopeless romantic. My family would DEFINITELY be surprised by this entire admission at first, because I did hide it well, I think. But, once they think about what I’d present they’d see it. My one brother I think knows. Mainly because he’s the only one I’ve ever tried to explain myself. But once I got deep to a certain point and notice(probably only to my insecure mind) that he looked as if he thought I sounded crazy…I’d shut it down and seemlessly try to change the subject, successfully of course. Once I came across Aurora one day while watching a vocal coach, Fairy Voice Mother, break down this new artist I’ve never seen or heard before…my world would be on a journey that would slowly start to make sense and that I really wasn’t the only one that had quirks that some think is “weird” or whatever. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing in that video of “Runaway” at the Nobel Peace Prize. Here was a young woman(I believe she is 18?..19 in the performance?)…that was free as a bird on stage…with the most beeee-U-tiful voice I’ve heard in a loooooong time. Probably since Linda Ronstadt. There came a point I was so mesmerized while watching the entire video on my own, after the vocal coach breakdown, that I had forgotten I was watching a video(if that makes any kind of sense. It was as if I was sitting in that front row all by myself in that theater…and she was singing just for one. My mind was blown to pieces. I honestly don’t think I breathed that whole 3+ minutes 😁 Then, after searching for more stuff…HOPING this wasn’t just a one hit wonder thingy…I found “Through The Eyes Of A Child” both the stripped/a cappella VEVO and the live Nidarosdomen one. Least to say, I crumpled to tears after watching them both. I didn’t realize this was the girl my mom had shared with me one night a few years ago when she was sick from cancer. We lost her about a month or so later. It’s been almost as if, imho, she shared the name of this artist to help me to find myself when the time was right. Since that Runaway vid…I’ve seen so many interviews of her and live shows/concerts where she spoke of being awkward and being an introvert…and not liking to be in crowds and MANY other things that I TOTALLY relate to and 100% of the time try to maintain this facade to the outside world of what the world, ESPECIALLY in America, says is “normal”, everything and everyone else is weird or abnormal, she shared that it’s ok to be yourself and a bit “weird”. Since those first baby footsteps of learning of Aurora’s music…I’ve heard majority of her incredible tunes and AMAZING covers….”The River”…”Exist For Love”…”Warrior”among many have been eye opening, knowledge building, heart soothing tunes I’ve really enjoyed. I also love that she does not exclude ANY part of society. I am not LGBTQ+ ….and, I’ve seen Aurora mention more than a few times “Queendom” is a representation of all..but, it still has had me feel amazing that our brothers and sisters have an anthem and artist that loves us all equally and doesn’t exclude no one. Even those that outwardly display hate. She doesn’t belittle them or negatively crush them. She will almost always mention how disappointing it is that hate is still in this world and things can still change. Heck, even when she cusses it sounds sooooo dang cute. First time I heard her cuss was one of those “Aurora teaches the alphabet” or “Aurora being funny for 5minutes” or something of that nature….and she said “F*ck racism”…..then another one was “Howdy mutherf*ckers”😂🤣😆🤣😆😂🤣😆🤘🏾🤣😆I couldn’t rewind it enough times to enjoy it😆 But, the one that really always makes me smile is the Tiktok acoustic performance of Queersounds. In between her BEAUTIFUL singing of SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW…and her next tune she speaks to the camera and says “….I appreciate so much every single one of you beautiful mutherffffff…-suckers…” probably realizing her pre-teen fans were watching and wanted to be family-safe. I’ve loved music of my youth VERY MUCH…Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, ELO, Dr. Hook, Linda Ronstadt, Sade, George Michael, Prince, Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, KISS, Marvin Gaye, The Cars, Go-Go’s, Journey, TOTO, Cyndi Lauper, Chicago/Peter Cetera only to name a few….that have gotten me through many a tough times…and great times. But, I can honestly and safely say….none have reached into my soul as deeply as this young Spirit has and caused me to be inspired to start writing music again, feel as if goals I set can be reached no matter the obstacles….and, most of all I think…that being happy with the best person I can be is all that really matters. As long as you’re not wallowing away being stagnant or spreading hateful things. Because “Love” …is really what we exist for. 🎼❤️🎵❤️🎶❤️ Much Aloha🤙🏾🤘🏾🤟🏾✌🏾🎼

Wow! So cool to read about your journey :) I know exactly how you feel, 'cause (he he) I'm the same, except a bit younger. For me, she has made me believe in magic again and helped me like humanity itself more. I'm trying to be more loving because of her. Her healing powers are such that I scarcely believe she's even 100% human.

I can't believe I actually read all of that lol.....but I'm glad I did. You seem like an awesome person who found Aurora just in time. I count myself among those of us who are lucky enough to have our lives deeply impacted by both her music....and her wisdom and just entire humanity. Even her humor is somehow cathartic and healing. Trust me....I get everything you're saying.

Reminded me of: “Why are you drinking? - the little prince asked. - In order to forget - replied the drunkard. - To forget what? - inquired the little prince, who was already feeling sorry for him. - To forget that I am ashamed - the drunkard confessed, hanging his head. - Ashamed of what? - asked the little prince who wanted to help him. - Ashamed of drinking! - concluded the drunkard, withdrawing into total silence. And the little prince went away, puzzled. 'Grown-ups really are very, very odd', he said to himself as he continued his journey.”

Aurora if you see this: one festival you would like is Folklorum in Germany. It's like a festival for medieval, fairy loving artists who are also introverted. Lots of families go, so the camping site is silent at night. It's on a theme park area but the theme park is all fantasy with tunnels and lots of ladders to climb up into the trees. There are cows on the roofs of the buildings and peacocks up in the trees

It's interesting......the themes of her super early first songs. They're all rather adult....and dark. The song she mentioned here about a lonely old man and his struggles with alcohol. There's Awakening....about a girl drowning in a body of water. And there's Puppet.....about a man who's emotionally abused by his girlfriend/wife. And of course....Little Boy in the Grass, In Boxes, Under the Water, etc. Her music is so _uplifting_ and inspiring, that it's often easy to forget how dark the lyrical themes often are. I used to kinda roll my eyes when Aurora would say her songs are "so dark and sad." But I clearly wasn't paying enough attention. They often ARE quite dark and sad....but almost always with a core of hope and reaching for the light through whatever the struggle is.
