For a while after, it hurt to hear this song because I would think of the good times we had and how they were gone now. I would have never expected one of my favorite artists to cover this song and turn it into something so ethereal and light. It sounds crazy, but it felt like Aurora was almost begging me to come back to the song and learn to enjoy it again, but in a different way. There lived a man in Russia long ago He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow Most people look at him with terror and with fear But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear He could preach the Bible like a preacher Full of ecstasy and fire But he also was the kind of teacher Women would desire RA RA RASPUTIN Lover of the Russian queen There was a cat that really was gone RA RA RASPUTIN Russia's greatest love machine It was a shame how he carried on "This man's just got to go", declared his enemies But the ladies begged, "Don't you try to do it, please" No doubt this Rasputin had lots of hidden charms Though he was a brute, they just fell into his arms For the queen he was no wheeler dealer Though she'd heard the things he'd done She believed he was a holy healer Who would heal her son RA RA RASPUTIN Lover of the Russian queen There was a cat that really was gone RA RA RASPUTIN Russia's greatest love machine It was a shame how he carried on RA RA RASPUTIN Lover of the Russian queen There was a cat that really was gone RA RA RASPUTIN Russia's greatest love machine It was a shame how he carried on RA RA RASPUTIN Lover of the Russian queen It was a shame how he carried on

Holy shoot. I thought I’d hate this.. I’ve been a Bony M fan since I was a small child thanks to my parents. I hate the new remixed “Rasputin” techno version and I got tense when I seen this cover but thought I should give it a chance and boy I’m glad I did! I’ll be showing my mum this tomorrow, I already know she’ll love it.. Your voice is liquid gold

Same! Most covers of this song are so unnecessary since the original is perfect but this cover is something else.

I like it. Beat just a little different and then the vocals were just great. As someone else said: Sounds kind of like a medieval tavern song.

aurora and the band really said "we stayed on tiktok to much and we can't get this song out of our heads... let's make a cover" and they did it so well, in their amazing style, and aurora as always gave us the best vocals ever. out of a meme of a song. lovely

This reminds me of a stormy shore with waves crashing against the rocks. It’s so calm but has the potential to be so full of chaos. I love it.

I imagine Aurora’s dream-like voice being the force of the tide. Nothing so loud and noisy as the waves, but the seismic intensity of pulling billions of billions of gallons of water from one end of the earth to the other. A mover of mountains, a nearly intangible force.
