I love how simple she is. I can appreciate a champion that seems to have normal interactions with champions and isn't edgy or sad or whatever in its entire personality. Add to this the fact that she doesn't have any voice filters and she seems like a relatively relaxing champion to play. If only we weren't talking about a League character of course.

Spirits cannot really die, except by being forgotten. So, honestly an epic battle to "the death" is more vitality giving than leathal, as long as the story is spread around.

@@hattrihanzo3595 Personally I pronounce the '-one' part as 'own' only because I read about him in lore before he became a champion, and that's just how everyone thought it was pronounced at the time until they corrected it in LoR and later in LoL. I tried pronouncing it the correct way, but it just never stuck with me for some reason. I still use the two pronunciations interchangeably, though I still stick to the old habit more often than not.

@@jsc1jake512not everyone thought it was pronounced that way. He’s from Ionia, the clearly Asian inspired region, so most people immediately intuited that the syllables in his name would be pronounced like “yo-ne”.

@@123silverslash Oh I know all that now, sure, but I didn't exactly know it back when I first read about him and it's not like there was an accent mark to help me along either, though I did watch Necrit back then and I remember him pronouncing it the way I did before the correct pronunciation was given in LoR Of course, not to say my experience encapsulates the entirety of the fanbase's who knew about Yone before his release, just my assumption is all, really, since many watched Necrit during that time.

Everyone bitching about her voice please read: She has a monotone that is subtly explained in her lore. She is stated to have not liked interacting with other people hence why her tone is almost stagnate. I had one when I was a kid up until high school it only broke because I started having more interactions with other people. If you actually listen carefully to her voicelines you catch very subtle fluctuations that show her true emotions such as her intentions with Volibear, yordles, and spirits. Think of her like that stern Librarian who you accidentally bump into outside of her work.

Because she's written with actual lore in mind. She's friends with Ornn, looking at spirits, and isn't singing about harmony and peace in a drug induced capitalist and socioeconomically separated society (while parading around as one of the privilege).

I don't understand why she has the one interaction with Briar. There are a lot of champs that aren't human nor spirit, but that one is just tailored for her, makes no sense to me

Not really - Briar is a humanoid made from magic. So she is kind of both and neither. Almost every other champ is either human, spirit or something that's not on said spectrum.
