My goodness can she vocalize! Her fills in whatever she is singing are just as emotionally charged as her lyric. What a gift she has and gives to us so wonderfully!!!!

Indeed. Those post chorus wails she does are haunting and so powerful. Such a melodically cool idea. I wonder if she planned that out or that was improvised on the spot? I also LOVE the way she sings the word "gentle" on the line "gentle impulsion shakes me makes me wider" around 1:06 on this video. She sorta _bends_ the note a wee bit sharp in such a cool way. I love little moments like that. :)

When I went to her consert I was thinking I should remember to take some pictures / some video.... I ended up with 50 of the time before she got on stage, and 2-3 + 2-3 short video. The next consert I was like: This time I will remember.... same happened..... Now I have been to 5 conserts, and I given up.... she sweeps me of my feet and takes me to places that can't be captured..... I just enjoy the ride..... nothing can compare to be in the crowd, feeling her warmth, seeing the teasing/joking glimse in her eyes, seeing she gets serious and takes you on a musical joyride of you life.... make me forget time and space and takes me to her wonder queendom. I seriously feels grateful that we have her in our lifes. Not because she is perfect, she is not, but she is perfectly inperfect human with a magical gift. ❤😊

Thank you for the splendid reaction video, Harri. Yes, 'Teardrop' covered by Aurora back in early 2017 down in Australia is magically beautiful. That melismatic vocal wail she does at the end of the choruses is SO cool....I love how crystalline and clear her voice often is. Sounds like ringing bells made of ice or frozen metal or something. Her voice is the sonic equivalent of drinking a tall glass of ice cold water on a hot summer day when you're incredibly parched and thirsty. Love when you do Aurora on your channel! Feel free to do LOTS more as frequently as you want! I'm here for it. :)

Always awesome seeing Aurora on your channel, Harri! 🤟 Unlike many of her covers, she didn't change this one up much, but my goodness, that voice! It has just the right amount of reverb to make it even more angelic too. Speaking of Bjork, she was in attendance when Aurora performed at KEXP Iceland in 2018. That mini-concert is a fan favorite for sure, full of fun and energy. I don't remember if you've reacted to anything from that show, but "All Is Soft Inside" and "Churchyard" are especially good.

Check out the channel Like A Version where this came from, many variety of artists doing live in studio performances, mostly covers of other bands. A lot of very good live performances in which they put their own spin on popular songs. Australian produced show

You should listen to the original. Aurora is brilliant but I think Liz Fraser's vocal on the original is unsurpassed. What is is interesting is that given how etherial Fraser's voice is, this is quite close to the original with some Aurora fairy dust sprinkled on top. I think that Aurora is possibly a fan of Fraser's voice and Fraser's own band, The Cocteau Twins.

As much as I love Aurora...yeah, I agree the original can't really be topped, tho I adore this cover. And yes! Aurora is a fan of Cocteau Twins...there's some interview where she talks about her favorite songs and one is Heaven or Las Vegas and she goes on about how much she loves the band and Liz. Another Aurora cover I adore but still love the original more is her cover of Alanis Morisette's Thank U. The original is, imo, a 10/10 perfect transcendent flawless pop song...so good luck even attempting to attempt it. But I can see why Aurora wanted to cover it...because the musical vibe and the lyrics both strike me as very Aurora-eque in tone and sentiment and emotional vulnerability/catharsis.

@@avedic Yes, I do rather adore this cover, but Massive Attack are one of my favourite groups and this song, and the whole album is exemplary. Aurora is never less than wonderful and makes great choices with her covers to match her stunning original material.
