Hi Aurora. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. My first 3D printer is a da Vinci 1.0 by XYZprinting I got back in 2014. It is enclosed like the Sermoon and has a build volume of 200x200x200mm. You just print directly on the glass bed using a glue stick for adhesion. It has the single z axis screw and although you don't have to pull a magnetic bed off it, you have to wait until the bed is fully cooled to remove the build. The other downside is the filament comes in a cartridge that has a chip in it that tells the printer how much filament is left. I set up an Arduino so I can reload the cartridge with my own filament and flash the card with the new filament length. You also have to change a number so it thinks it is a different cartridge. Now I have it so I don't bother opening up the cartridge and just have the spool of filament mounted behind the printer. I haven't used that printer recently since I bought an Ender 3 Pro 2 years ago.

Awesome Video, I have one of these that I won from the Sermoon V1 stream a few months back. I found the same issues initially with the bed removal but after tightening those wingnuts underneath and redoing the 'auto' level it seemed to go away. I also now make sure that when i remove and replace the bed i use 2 hands (not as easy but helps to keep it steady)

I think this is aimed at competing with the Flashforge printers but If I were going to buy a small build footprint enclosed machine I would still go for a Flashforge, not having babysteps is a dealbreaker for me and considering Crealities track record on fixing errors with firmware updates this makes the Flashforge even more of a better choice

I don't understand why Creality releases so many printers every year, each with at least one critical, but easily solvable, problem--in this case, bed mount stiffness. Do they just introduce design problems in order to convince people to upgrade to the v2 that 'fixes' the issue? :^)

Gutted to hear that the bed only goes up to 80c! This could have been an awesome little ABS print farm printer being all enclosed off the shelf, I think Creality really dropped the ball on this one, I really don’t see what this printer is for or who it’s aimed at

As always, this is a thorough and informative review. You didn't mention it, so I presume that the enclosure doesn't provide any filtering for ABS fumes and odor since the fans are off for ABS printing to better control the ambient temperature. On your other reviews you used a vacuum and filter system for ABS prints but that was on open bed printers. Is this not so much of a problem since the fans aren't running and the print bed is enclosed?

i don't think you can reliably print abs on this... max nozzel temperature is 250°C and max bed temperature is 80°C, all the print will come with weak layer adesion

Yes, the printer didn't come with any filter, I printed ABS with the door close and fans off, I didn't smell any odor at all when printing, but after the print is finish, the odor still remain inside the enclosure, it would take a while to go away.

What a perfect way to say to Creality that they are just creating BLA printers as in bla, bla, bla. They should sack their marketing and sales departements right away and subscribe them to your channel. Unbiased reviews, nothing is perfect, and you cut right trough the crap in an elaborate manner. You give viewers something to think about and make up their own mind, in a modest and clean style without all the stereotype youtube manners and trends.

The need to relevel after removing a removable bed is just a bad design. Single-side supported print beds are a terrible design. With that said, I watched your latest on the huge, new Sermoon, the $2500 one. That single-side supported bed is very rigid due to the massive aluminum forged printed and the very large rods used.

Typical creality garbage. They have so much potential on tap and they refuse to build a reliable cheap printer. The biggest seller is their 3v2 but yet, is nothing but a hassle for new users. Meanwhile you have the Voxelab Aquila for $100 less and a much better beginner printer. This should be a $149 printer at most.
