It's been a year and 2 months since my online friend died in a fatal car crash, i will never forget the amazing conversations we had and all the memories we made. It really hurts my heart to believe that he is gone, he felt like a big brother to me and ever since he died I've felt so numb because I know I can't talk to him anymore and I just can't believe he's gone 🥺😓 I think suicidal and I am losing myself and my mind but I just fake a smile almost every day so I don't make others sad. I find it sad that I listen to this kind of music. Not that I don't enjoy it, I do, it's just that somebody will hear me listening to it and think that I'm depressed or something. But I won't stop listening to it. Sad/depressing music is my comfort, because I love the way it sounds, and the lyrics always give me something to think about. If I'm stressed, I'll tap out the beat. If I'm sad, I'll cry. If I just want to listen, I analyze the lyrics.

My first experience with depression was when I first started high school at 14. It was when reality finally hit me that I no longer had a father to greet when I got home from school. It got so much worse after that but every year I thought the next would be better. I had hope. That never actually came true until I graduated and started life as a college student. And yet at 21, even after years of therapy and antidepressants, I still find myself going back to the past now and then. All those times of being hurt by so many others, suffering behind a screen or while my so-called friends sat next to me, laughing with no care in the world. All of those moments of complete agony that no one else could hear because I was biting my lip hard enough to bleed just to keep a single cry from being heard. All of those times... And even though I'm just hearing this playlist for the first time, it feels nostalgic because of all those painful memories. None of this was meant to be motivational or uplifting. And most of anyone who reads this will probably just be edgy teenagers looking for answers that no one has. But here's the reality of life. It's always going to be rough and unforgiving. It will only ever be a shitty walk through a forest you've never even explored before. But it will be a fulfilling journey nonetheless, so make the best out of it. Learn all that you can from it. Don't regret your decisions but don't expect there to be a fairy that will just forgive your mistakes and fix everything. Take responsibility of your mistakes, learn from them and move on. Teach others what you've learned so they can pass that knowledge on to others. Do your part in society as a good citizen and be a leader. Or even just a follower. That's fine too. Just be a decent one at least. Do whatever you think will make your life even the slightest bit enjoyable in the long run. Just don't be a jackass to those around you just because you think it might make you look cool or trendy. That's annoying. Be aware of others and your surroundings. Take care of things that don't belong to you and put them back where you found them. It's annoying not being able to find something that is shared among others. Even if you paid for something or if it's something you own that you didn't spend your own money on, take care of the damn thing. It's not that hard. Shit isn't meant to be that expendable. Money doesn't grow on trees. If you haven't worked a job yet, you'll learn that very quickly, so spend your money wisely. Be considerate and honest. Overall, just... be a decent human being please. That's all I ask and that anyone asks. Hopefully you'll learn some of the things that I've learned along the way.
