While at the Auschwitz death camps, I reflected on the solemn history of that place and the imperative to actively work towards preventing such atrocities from recurring. In this video, I explore the historical events leading up to the Second World War, which ultimately resulted in the Jewish Holocaust.
The historical background for this video script was developed based on the content of episode 33 [1] of the Correspondente de Guerras podcast [2]. The narration and presentation of Auschwitz memorial facilities were done using information provided by the museum professional who guided the visit. As the narration was not read but presented spontaneously after referring to the script, there is a possibility of historical inaccuracies, which I humbly acknowledge in the face of reliable sources and commit to adding corrections to the video description. However, I will not tolerate Holocaust denial, including its characteristics and origins.

Documentary recommendation
- Shoah (1985): The most significant work on Holocaust memory, Claude Lanzmann's 1985 film, spanning 9 and a half hours and created over 11 years. The director refuses to use footage from concentration camps, unlike conventional documentaries. The horror is documented through the testimonies of survivors-whether victims, perpetrators, or mere witnesses to the atrocities.
