First flown on April 2012 and in still in prodcution today. Carenado have recreated the DA62, and its compatible with P3D, & FSX. Correct start up sequence: 1. Fuel selectors to *ON* you’ve selected it to CROSSFEED which is not supposed to be used unless for testing or when one engine is inoperable. 2. Alternators ON. 3. Master ON, the red button. 4. Strobe lights ON. Master engine starter on. 5. Check PFD message for “engine glow.” 6. When the message is gone or returned to normal, Push button start engine. 7 repeat for the other side. 8. Avionics on. Note the fuel pumps L and R are NOT used to start the engines. They are only switched on during take off and landing. Otherwise both will be switched off. The plane has 2 fuel pumps and normally only one is active. During take off and landing, for redundancy, pilot manually switch both on. Source: DA62 Manual.

Great overview Shane, agree with you that the reflections seem a bit over the top. Have a bit of a love/ hate relationship with Carenado aircraft in that they always look great but they do use the same soundset.Glad to hear they have issued an update to improve things. I managed to find a replacement soundset for the B1900D which i now use check out my latest video if you want to hear the improvements ;). Your sim sure looks awesome. Great job mate.

Very useful review, thank you. I was just wondering how were the frame rates compared to other aircraft you have tested: I tend to avoid G1000s because of low fps and stutters.

It was really good. They have a lite version that come with the pack.

I have this aircraft but at night you can barely see the buttons on the dashboard, turning on the cabin lights makes little difference.

Looks nice, but I will be waiting for the Vertx DA62 made by Sean Moloney of former RealAir Simulations.

A nice plane for "Stephen King`s The Night Flyer" remake. The VASI lights show a too low flight path before landing, try not hitting any powerlines ;) Remember the old sayings "red on white you are allright, red on red you are dead." One NEVER forget`s Flight Simulator 98 and FS 2000 knowledge......

Hi Aus Flight Simmer. Do you know if I can export a flight plan from PFPX to Carenado G1000 ? Set all information there is so hard man ... I tried to save a rota from P3D Planner but it wasn't inserted on the G1000. Do you know how can I do ?

It looks like a squirrelly aircraft on taxi and appeared to be very bouncy on the landing. Very disappointing to me, as I was hoping Carenado would have a quality release here. It appears to need some further bugs fixed.

Looks absolutely fine after the landing, many of the bigger airplanes too like A320 run absolutely rough on the runway as if there is no suspension at all like one is sitting on some skateboard and not in a plane. I flew only once and while taxiing and on the runway the asphalt felt very rough. Carenado and Captain Sim have the highest quality standards, so I think this aircraft behaves realistic.

Hey =). I just have a little question, I also bought the DA62. At crusing altitude, the engines always lose power until idle, even when the power levers are fully moved to 100 %. What am I doing wrong??

Doesn't look as good as the one by aerobask in xplane or looks to reflective then again the lighting in both games are different

Love the detail Carenado puts into their planes but they're systems SUCK. I wish their bigger planes had better working FMC's, SID/STARs, and proper waypoint sequencing. It's such a shame because visually, they are stunning.
