The Boys did us Proud... So happy for Super Patty, Jingles and Delly... it's been a long, hard road. Great to see the new faces really absorbing the culture. Matisse, Dante, Josh, Nick, Jock, Duop... all stepped up and played their part. Boomers Spirit is alive and well and the new generation is ready to take the touch and run with it. Bring on Paris!

Would have been not just good for the team but good for him to get out of the NBA space and feel loved again. He wouldn't have had as much pressure on this team as well, he could just play and be himself. Shame, but his head is just not in it, maybe in a few years as he matures he will be a better fit for boomers. You can tell he still has a bit of soul searching to do then he will be amazing on this team. I'm actually more disappointed Bogut didn't play, that was more of a shock, we really missed his slick high-post passing and intelligent play.

I was happy too for Australia atleast they finally won a Bronze Medal, I enjoyed the effort of Patty Mills Joe Ingles and Exum

Dante Exum 100% deserves an NBA contract, especially if the likes of Liangelo Ball are getting contracts.

Where is Ben Simmons? Oh, he was busy on twitter and Instagram maybe learning from Liz Cabage?

Everybody is cut differently. The guy is in a very toxic situation. I don’t think he was in a good place mentally to come and be part of this great occasion. If he did it would have also deflected attention to him and his issues right now rather than the boomers. So by not taking part he actually helped them. It’s easy to criticise when you are not the person at the centre. Don’t believe everything you read. As Matisse said there is no doubt he will play in Paris.

@@ebok33643 Well said! I see so many negative comments about Ben, when no one really knows how he is feeling. What you see online and in the media is not all it's cracked up to be. The boys understand and respect his decision. It's so easy to sit behind the keyboard and criticize someone. I wish people would stop that and just embrace what we have achieved and be kind. We all have our own battles.

Let’s all hope Ben returns to his childhood roots and plays in Paris. Simmons, Thybulle, Giddey, Exum, Mills etc will push for Gold in Paris

@@ebok33643 agree. I don’t think he is around the right crowd in LA, He should have gone to the Olympics. Exum and Thybulle showed what being at the Olympics can do to improve on their games.

It sounds werid but I’m glad we ran into team USA in the second round, I feel like if we had Slovenia in the second and beat them to get into the gold medal game and lost, it sorta would feel like a participation award getting sliver there, especially for Australia’s first ever medal in basketball. I feel better that it came after a hard caught victory other then it coming from a loss in the final game
@MrBrandonDylan2 жыл бұрын
Same, so glad they fought and won the bronze, not lost and got the silver.
