The rap that Changbin does at the very end while Han and Seungmin are belting like absolute beasts, that rap is actually performed by two people in the original but he managed to do it all by himself SOME HOW. He is unreal I do not understand. He has lungs and a diaphragm of steal I swear hahaha

Just wanted to let you know that this song is so high that the original artist (BTOB) even refuse to sing it! BTOB is a heavily vocal group while Stray Kids are not considered strong vocally, since they are more rap based. So them covering their song really showcased their vocals.

if you’re interested, you should also watch BTOB’s version of Back Door! for this performance, BTOB and Stray Kids switched songs, “I’ll Be Your Man” being BTOB’s, and “Back Door” being Stray Kids’. I think BTOB did a great job despite being a very vocally focused group, and SKZ did a good job as well despite being a rap focused group.

Fwiw, the order of their Kingdom performances: - ep 1: "Miroh" 100-second intro performance - ep 3: "Ja Shin" (aka "God's Effects"/"Side Menu") - ep 5: "I'll Be Your Man" - ep 7: Mayfly rap unit and Mayfly dance unit performances - ep 8: Mayfly vocal unit performance; "God's Ddu-du Ddu-du" - ep 10: "Wolfgang" So you've watched their penultimate performance ("God's 4D") and now their third performance.

I still love how they produced the stage act, the story behind the act which was about them making a deal with the devil to bring the little boy back alive by exchanging it with their lives... So deeply creative.

Not sure if you noticed but the one hitting the high notes is Han the main rapper, he's crazy talented.

This is long, but it's a breakdown I gave to someone else that seemed to make things a little more understandable for a few people, so I'm pasting it here in case it's of any use to you in understanding the themes of each episode and reasoning behind their song choices or whatever. Kingdom was a competition show between six boy groups: three 3rd-gen (Ikon, BTOB, SF9) and three 4th-gen (SKZ, Ateez, The Boyz). There were different themes/assignments for each round's performance (several rounds comprise more than one episode, so I haven't listed these by episode number, just rounds): -- _Intro Stage,_ a 100-second performance of one of their award-winning songs to introduce themselves and what they're going to bring to the show (SKZ did "Miroh"). -- _To the World,_ a rearrangement of one or two of their existing songs and a different stage presentation than usual for that song/those songs (SKZ did "Ja-shin"/"God's Effects"/"Side Menu", aka "Side Effects" + "God's Menu"). -- _Re-Born,_ wherein the six groups are split into three pairs, and the two groups in each pair choose a song by the other group to reimagine and perform (SKZ paired with BTOB; BTOB chose to perform SKZ's "Back Door," and SKZ picked BTOB's "I'll be Your Man (Pray)"). -- An episode that was a break from the show competition and was instead basically a recreational field day/mini ISAC competition, where we got to see the six groups competing in different sports, voting for the prettiest boy (Changbin knows exactly how many votes he got and in what place he ranked, and he will gladly tell anyone who'll listen), being clowns, bonding with each other, and Changbin and Wooyoung being MC team Lovey-Dovey and embarrassing their leaders. Also: SKZ in baby-pink track suits. -- _No Limit pt 1,_ wherein the six group were split into two supergroups of three (BTOB, SKZ, Ateez were Team Mayfly; Ikon, SF9, The Boyz were Team It's One). Each of the two supergroups then split their members into a dance unit (Lee Know, Felix, I.N + members from BTOB and Ateez), a vocal unit (Seungmin + members from BTOB and Ateez), and a rap unit (3RACHA + members from BTOB and Ateez). The vocal, rap, and dance units from each of the two supergroups then competed against each other (Team Mayfly vs Team It's One), and the winning supergroup of each of those stages all received the points for their individual teams (so if Mayfly won, then all three groups that were in Mayfly would receive points toward their individual group's total). So SKZ members are in three different performances in this round -- rap, dance, vocal. -- _No Limit pt 2,_ where the supergroups are now dissolved and we're back to six individual groups. This performance has no restrictions or limits, so teams are expected to go all out. This is the round of "God's Ddu-du Ddu-du." -- _Who is the King,_ the finale episode. Each group performed a new original song, and those songs were all released onto music sites on a Kingdom album that same day. This is the round of "Wolfgang." Anyway, Kingdom was hell, and mnet is shady-ass sh1t. But the performances from every team were great, all six groups did themselves proud, and the relationships that were formed between the groups were and are beautiful (half the people on the show adopted Felix, and BTOB accidentally ended up adopting SKZ as a whole, leading to things like 2Min now treating Minhyuk's house as their hangout pad). So the performances and the people made that hellish experience survivable, but six groups and six fandoms came out of it exhausted and in some cases with lingering stress/trauma reactions. (I'm not being facetious with that.)

This was absolutely my most FAVORITE performance by skz on kingdom. They just knocked it out of the park, and I just fucking loved it immensely!

It's my favorite kingdom performance

I think posing and taking your eyes away sometimes made you pass by the amazing storyline of this performance and the overall feeling this time ? I usually don't mind but this performance is so emotionally powerful that the first time I watched it, when it ended, I felt heartbroken, empty, so moved The storyline is everything in this performance (with the vocals) so I do feel you missed something important here : The little boy (statue) is dead and they are fighting in heaven and making a pact with the devil to bring him back at the cost of their own lifes

I.N I think it was his voiced cracked or something like that when they played it back you couldn't tell he broke down crying his eyes out. They got last place for this performance. Mnet repeatedly showing the bit where he made the mistake and followed him around after to watch him cry then interviewed him and he's saying how much he let the team down and things like that amazing what a TV show would do just to get ratings. The other bands who were in competition with them were saying how brilliant they did covering this song and making it there own even the original group was shocked that they chose this one because of how difficult it is to sing

The God dudududu one was actually their 4th performance 😂 Aside from the collab ones's which are hella good(Rap unit, vocal unit, dance unit) Before the collabs u gotta check out their other kingdom performances for now: -God menu/ side effects one (It's the 3rd one) -Wolfgang (last one) there's the OG & a OT8 one with Hyunjin Their 1st stage was called "Miroh," it's shorter but still pretty good, they worked hard on that one too

You should watch all of team mayfly’s performances. I’m sure someone told you already but a bit into kingdom, the 6 teams were split into two bigger teams and had to make a dance, rap and singing unit. Stray kids worked together with btob and ateez and got great results!

I wish you watched the actual show. At least the part in which they collaborate with Ateez and BTOB. Together they called themselves Mayfly. I really enjoyed watching their interactions. At least react to their performances. All 3 of them are FIRE! (They divided into units of rap, dance and vocal). Highly recommended.

You really need to watch Kingdom. They have so many amazing preferences in the show along with the other 5 groups. Also each performance has a sort of theme. This one they had to trade songs with another group and they chose BtoB which surprised everyone bc BtoB is a ballad group, the exact opposite of skz

I love this presentations, but let' s face It: They placed 6 th in this ep . The point is, they were supposed tô show case a performance based on I' LL b your man from another group....but Skz came UP with this Idea totally out of context. They did whaever they wanted..I loved It.

I love this performance so much. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it, but I get goosebumps every single time! I was stoked when I saw the notification that you reacted to this! Someone else mentioned IN’s little mistake at the end, but I’ve gotta say, I would never have known it was a mistake if they hadn’t pointed it out in the show. This was a cover of BTOB's song I'll be your man. They are a much more older group than Stray Kids and now, you should react to BTOB's performance of Stray Kids's Back Door song.
