@@bluebird7557 Someone commented about cinnamon. There's definitely sugar in there, but it seemed like white sugar. Whoever made them did a bad job with presentation, for sure, but I do think they had most of the ingredients right.

@@englishatheart it depends on where you are in the US the south uses yams the north and coasts uses sweet potatoes. And if you want to be technical sweet potato pie tastes just like pumpkin pie

When I was younger, I had a Wizards of Waverly Place DVD set. In it had cast interviews, and to this day I remembered Selena Gomez in that said she had an obsession with pickles and pickle juice. I guessed the popcorn one straight away because of it

So, the sweet potato dish is VERY American lol. We make it on holidays as a bit of a casserole. Some add chopped nuts and warm spices like cinnamon in, brown sugar, and actually add butter as well. It's way too sweet, in my opinion but it's eaten more as a dessert or a sweet bite alongside all your savory options. Just to point out, all of these were very American as the actors are all American lol. Miss you Zeta!! I feel as though Sybil is becoming a Zeta type personality. I don't really like her opinions but I respect her individuality

The recipe I use calls for the sweet potatoes to be mashed, and mixed with pecans, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice. Topping it with marshmallow is optional.

Dude same when I am sad at home which is not right now but I went through a couple of times like that cheap ass wine and either Cheetos Pringles Fritos definitely some sour cream dip it in or cottage cheese maybe some sliced cheapo fake American cheese on top especially if it’s Pringles but yeah wine and sad chips are a vibe and I have been there more times than I would like to admit

Candied *sweet potatoes.* They aren't yams. Just because many people from the states mistakenly call them "yams" doesn't mean they're yams. All one has to do is do a quick search to learn that sweet potatoes and yams are not the same, and that people almost never eat actual yams in the US because they're not common in grocery stores.

@@englishatheart We do have yams in the U.S. I'm not sure how accessible it is across the nation, but it's quite accessible where I live. The reason people in the U.S. call sweet potatoes yams has to do with the slave trade. Enslaved Africans referred to sweet potatoes as yams because the flavor reminded them of yams. Similar to how Biscuits in the U.S. are different than the Biscuits in other English Speaking countries.
