I am also an accountant, worked for a bank, I can understand regular routine activities of an accountant are really boring and tedious. You can switch to data analytics and business intelligence in the same field.

@@aussieswag6103 no, but you should know oracle SQL, or Python, oracle Hyperion to handle big data analytics or bi. It may take 6 months to learn. Many institutions are teaching. Target the internal audit, regulatory reporting or risk management, or financial and management reporting. You can get rid of from regular AP, RA, FA or payroll activities.

Bhai, i have told you before also, i am a CPA, working in melbourne for 15 years. Truck jobs will not earn you more money even if you have worked in accounting for say 3 years. I have friends who are owner operators, and their main earning happens only by exaggerating their expenses, which is mostly false and reducing their taxable income. More often than not, truck owner operators will try to pay minimum tax and get money back when they file their GST. Plus, no truck driver sets any money separate for Super, which your job does. Please think about it. I know some of my friends who are not CPA but have enough experience and are smart in their job and earn good money and i dont think they will make that much money doing trucking. Bhai people here in Canada do trucking in snow, black ice on roads. Now you can imagine how risky it is to drive truck in Canada. Australia has better weather by far brother and much better pay than Canada.
