Austarhobby AX-8560 RTR Unboxing. Is This The Best Budget 1/18th Scale Crawler??

We have the Austarhobby AX-8560 RTR fresh out of the box, let's compare it to the TRX4m.
Some things were a little unexpected but in a good way. Such a good bang for your buck!
Is this the budget TRX4m?? with all the little things i have done to my Defender, I am extremely impressed with the provided upgrades.
Unfortunately, it broke immediately. So what else to do besides UPGRADES!! We are going to rip straight into turning this into the BEST budget 1/18th scale crawler!
Motor: external carbon brush 370
ESC: 10A
Product battery model: 2S 600mAh lithium battery
Frequency: 2.4G HZ
Differential structure: direct difference
Remote control battery: 4 1.5VAA dry batteries (to be purchased by oneself)
Protection function: battery low voltage protection, electrical regulation overvoltage protection

These are a true Banggood speshul/special. Also picked up a set of hopup Austarhobby alloy split rims via eBay which are great too, adds weight, but rear wheels didn't want to come off, weirdly, so have only fitted to the front axle so far, reused OE tyres with foams for now. Great little rig & huge value. Servo okay, no issues even like the TX. 🔝

100% this thing is really good!! this might be the only RTR rig i don't see needing much on the mod list. XD but who keeps stuff stock??

Got mine yesterday. I really like it but the lack of crawler reverse and the super slow reverse speed is a bummer. Given the great modulation of it, that is a shame that we will have to change electronics to get crawler reverse and a proper reverse speed. I'll check out your other vids.

Man I had the same problem with the one I got didn’t drive it but two times and the wires came off so I’m waiting on a replacement like the video very helpful thanks

Hi, great video 👍. Want to ask, can i mout oil shocks that fit on trx4 on the ax8560 ?

Yes the TRX4m shocks will work. The ones with the "reservoir" are a little tight. but works perfectly.

Just curious, but does the Defender body fit onto the Austra chassis? If so, then that would be a decent replacement over the traxxas brand...one would just need to buy the body to add onto the Austra. Since you have both, had to ask. Are the wheelbase the same?

On Amazon, you can find the same Injora body, but it requires the front and rear bumper for proper fitting.
