Great to see progress moving into the new shop, but a shame it has come at a cost. On the machine, stick with what you know unless the newer brand has something exceptional to make you want to change, or unless Comec have not supported you…

Good work on crank and injectors.I would carry on with the repaired set up and sleep on it you may justify a different approach in a couple of days.

I feel your pain (only a bit) but the machine you have is not a hopeless case. Maybe get the backlog of heads done and spend a weekend getting that gear alignment right. Maybe in the meantime get the original motor rebuilt. You could examine the original motor yourself they are not complicated. Probably something like a tag has come detached off a winding. I know you have a lot on your plate with the move, it's never fun. Maybe not the best time to give your highly polished credit card too much exercise.

Bad luck with the motor glad your lads sorted it out for you.Just one thing I would not run it too long without the cooling fan cover fitted new motors soon get to hot due to casings being very thin not a good heat sink.

Oh mate what a pain :-(( Unfortunately shit happens from time to time even if we try our best 🤷 I don’t know anything about that type of equipment but if it was my decision to make i would go for the brand you was using for all those years as it proved its reliable.Last thing you want now is going for something else and then saying to yourself self fxxk ,I should stick to the old brand.
