You can’t be sad, mate. 3/10 Australians fall victim to drop bear attacks every year, and half of them die. It’s just part of living in Australia, and Ralph accepted that. The best we can do is support his brother until the huntsmen crawl into the house and carry his body away, and then see how the channel’s going. Just have some chockie bickies till then, and she’ll be right.

It's uncanny how much Austin has captured SkillUp's speech, in terms of rhythm and cadence. It's like listening to Skillup with a neutral accent, minus the higher pitches. Well done. The script matches the style of the channel perfectly. I'm beginning to think he wasn't kidding when he said he was the real talent behind the channel :D.

If you have gamepass GET THIS GAME. If you don’t wait for a sale. Def worth $40 and there is a solid 9month roadmap for the game in store. This sort of game deserves a player base. It’s unique and fun and out of the box. Play it and don’t stop till you’ve at least seen your first ten man raid.

I'd mostly just loiter around and look at all the cool, expensive light gun and rumble racer games for a few hours while occasionally playing Metal Slug or something cheap with the couple bucks I'd managed to scrape together. If only there were a more egalitarian way to run such a place...

Damn I got chills listening to Austin's excitement describing the epic boss fights. Those moments are some of the best and most fun I've experienced in a really long time. Really hope to see what else Capcom can cook up for this game in the future.

My biggest gripe about the game is the fact is that there isn’t any specific information or a detailed description of the exosuits. I’m a big fan of knowing the numbers, or the nuances and little tidbits that a character can do.

If you go into the training area, you can hit F1 on PC to bring up the character information. I forget what the button is on consoles but they have one too.

i dunno if its me but the characters in this game in the cutscene are pretty charming in the way they were mocapped and voiced even the player characters has some really good animations makes you wonder why theyre not voiced to begin with

I was extremely sceptical about this game but its surprisingly fun and a breath of fresh air in this year of buggy/unoptimized/unfinished game releases. The only 2 thing its missing are being able to invite cross platform friend atm and mouse + keyboard support on console (yeah i dont prefer playing shooters with a controller).

The game is a.... significantly WORSE version of Overwatch, except now you gotta go through an unfun dps phase at the start of every match against mindless mooks as a vibe check. I guess if you were REALLY intent on playing a worse Overwatch with added damage gating, the game could be good....

Did a great job capturing the general cadence and tone of Skillup's reviews (I imagine editing these things and crafting that tone/cadence helps quite a bit) but at the same time making it feel like your own thing. It's a smooth transition that was handled really well. Would be cool to see more once Ralph is back, maybe on games that he decided to pass on due to time constraints or interest but Austin wanted to give a go.

Just a point. If you get the game on game pass, you are not matched with Steam players. This playerpool is much larger. This also means you do the higher missions way more than the early ones

and to extend on that, on gamepass, since its a revolving door of new people checking out the game for the first time, most of your matches will be full of DPS players who have no idea what to do.

As someone who’s played around 50 games and has sunk some decent time into the game I’d really recommend giving it a shot if you have game pass. The more you play the more the game opens up and it’s really fun. Definitely wouldn’t spend $60 on it though 😂

Agreed. I did the same and am actually enjoying it enough to where I've gotten through 100 missions and still have fun every time I log on. 100% agree that the game needs to let players intentionally replay the raid encounters tho.

Out of curiosity. The special events that Austin said here like the Raptor Swarm or the T-Rex raid -- are these one-time events for the story or do they actually happen randomly as part of multiplayer/PvE/PvP lobbies?

@@eandlbloodflower6765had the swarm a few times but the big ass T-rex only once so far. Definitely worth having these as end game content options. Time trials etc.

@@eandlbloodflower6765 Neo T-Rex only happens once in the campaign unless you get a lobby where someone else is doing it for the first time. BUT it looks to be part of the Savage Gauntlet and we'll know more about that on the 27th when it launches.

@@eandlbloodflower6765 so far I've fought the trex three times, done the gauntlet three times , fought the dude in the mech suit twice, and have done the final encounter twice. It seems pretty random when they occur, unfortunately.

For mission variety, you gotta finish the story. There isn't a whole lot of different mission types until then. I ab about 80 games in and I am still getting missions and maps I haven't seen before.

He addresses this in the video. It doesn't matter how much you've unlocked if the game's matchmaking gates you behind the progression of the lowest person it matches you with.

@@ihatevnecks7015 He's saying he already finished the story though... He's no longer gated by the lowest person. The lowest person's progress just allows people to replay that part in the story. The OP is saying he's still getting new content AFTER finishing the story.

But according to Austin's review, that doesn't really matter if the game still decides to match you with other player(s) who HAVEN'T finished the story - because then you're only going to be able to do the content available to *them*, not the content available to you.

Honestly this game is my favorite live service game to date. The gameplay loop is so fun, I honestly love the progession system, because it's different. I like how it slowly adds more and more gamemodes, dinos, and crazy horde events and boss fights as you go. The final boss is especially epic. It keeps every match feeling fresh and exciting. Im fully addicted to this game, and it seems like they have plans to support the game and add new content consistently. Excited for the future!

like the game in general BUT,performance is shit on xss,and not enough cosmetics for base game which costs 60€ ... uf wanna like it,but it feels like free2play game behind 60€ capcom name,and not a polished one at that ,but in general fun game :)

I think this game wouldn't face any danger of shut down soon if the Live Service landscape wasn't so saturated. It's to justify keeping your servers running when you can't garner more than a couple hundreds or thousand players as you All-time Peak player count. I'm having fun with Exoprimal, but I won't deny that I'm afraid it already has its days numbered if it doesn't go on a deep discount or the F2P-route sooner than later.

I'm glad i played through this but after the final mission I just wanted more of the same. It's really a game with phenomenal potential i feel that is currently held back by poor decisions. I hope it improves for the best and they don't give up on it too early because they really could have a gem with this game i feel.

It is so unfortunate he only got the raid boss and gigantic swarms a handful of times. I get them almost every three rounds, I rarely get the payload. At this point I'm thankful when I do for a break

i think it has to do with when he played it. hes right in that the system accounts for LCD progression, and enough people have progressed to have more variety in the game
